Topo is a pretty, hip, upscale cafe to grab a bite and chat.
Pros: Lovely design, with the koi river flowing through the entrance to the back, this is the real highlight of the cafe. The experience of watching the koi while you eat is very relaxing. The food and drink is quite good; their espresso drinks are pulled expertly and they have a large variety of fresh juices and teas and flavored coffees as well. The food has welcoming presentation and thought is put into what will taste good. First timers are recommended to try their brioche French toast, which is very filling. Service is by table. There is one table by the window that is a couch that is very cute.
Cons: Be careful where you step! If you are clumsy (like me) you can easily miss a step and crash into the pond. Only the small downstairs area has seats, so it is a very limited area. Usually there seems to just be 1 waiter serving, and she is wonderful but please be patient. The limited seats means during a busy hour you might be asked to relinquish your table if you are done. Though the food and drink are good, meals range 300nt with an option to upgrade to a meal with drink, soup and/or dessert. Latte and Cappuccino are about 160nt. Zabu (up the hill) is a coffee speciality house and has better quality coffee for the same price. But only places like that are going to be noticeably different.
I'm looking forward to trying their meat dishes and cakes next time, which...

Sorry that all the positive reviews here, I mean this is just a concrete brick residential house trying to look cool, no design or creativity at all but just blocks of concrete sitting areas, not comfortable at all. Very tiny dinning space with hard sitting space and dull colours on the wall. Worse than that, the food- really very uninteresting basic food. I don't understand what the owner is trying to present to provide to customers. Nothing. Sorry for this...
Read moreVery nice interior- it’s spacious, quiet, and stylish- in an approachable way. :) Great place to sit down and relax. The first floor has an interesting design to let the outdoor pond connected to indoors. They set up water way to let goldfish swim freely near your feet while you sit and sip your coffee. Loved the arrangement very much! The coffee was great. They feature organic food so is a bit more pricey than typical cafe. But would say it’s totally worthy given the taste and nice vibe of the store....
