CAFE!N Shilin Shop — Restaurant in Shilin District

IG: foodie_foxx Next to the shilin MRT station, one of the newest coffee and snack bar. Busy place for busy people. We ordered the Hazelnut white chocolate Cafe latte (120$NTD) and beef 🥩 croissant 🥐 (85$NTD). The coffee was very different as I did not taste the normal milk; it was made with oat milk for sure. I saw the MONIN bottles, so I am guessing they should have used the monin chocolate and Hazelnut syrup. I would say that this coffee was better than the Starbucks Hazelnut Cafe latte. Steam milk with less froth was used, not too much froth, and not too much sweet in the coffee. I recommend everyone to choose oat milk instead of skimmed or full fat milk; it's more healthy and different.

A coffee a day keeps the doctor away, lol 😆. I want to try more flobours of coffee and tea, and I will plan to visit very soon ☺️. Try to support local shops, go local go coffee.

This location is right outside Shilin MRT. Love the interior space, there’s tons of seating and many configurations depending on what type of seating you prefer. Tables along the side each had their own plug in and bag hanger, nice touch! I also noticed a bathroom, which you don’t see often at a place like this. We got the iced matcha latte, which although sweet, had a very “grown up” flavor. You could tell real matcha powder was used to create the tea base. My son loves tea latte but this was a little challenging. I had the iced latte and it was probably the best I’ve had. I’m not a fan of how lattes are usually overwhelmingly “milky”. The shop is really comfortable to stay because the place has a great ambiance, especially it seems like it was designed as a place for you to study. Also, you always find a seat to stay here.

Time: Weekdays (7:30 am - 5:00 pm) and Weekend (8:00 am - 6:00 pm) Tables: A lot of small tables for costumers (The shop can accommodate around 25 person). Plugs: There are many plugs in the right corner seats. Price: Starts around 100 NTD (Cheap) Seller: There are mostly 3 part-time workers there but they are very helpful in assisting the costumer. Coffee: The coffee is tasty and I enjoy drinking it because the size is reasonable for its price.

The restroom is clean and well sanitize. Overall, I can recommend this place for studying for a longer time at day time because they close the shop...
