Ricö Padre — Restaurant in Taichung

The drinks were mediocre, fish & chips were way too salty, and probably had the most expensive pint of beer in Taiwan. Also when we got our bill, first there was a mistake with an extra drink we didn’t order; then we realized the service fee was 15% instead of 10% and later found out it’s because we got our bill past 12am (we got our bill at 12:03), which was never mentioned to us when we first got in. The waiter’s attitude wasn’t friendly as well when we brought up the issue, and was hesitant to accept our suggestion to them that they should mention such rule to customers first in the future or state it on the menu (it only mentions a service fee of 10-20% will be charged, no one knows exactly what the service fee will be until they get the bill). Very good atmosphere! Unfortunately atmosphere is the only good thing about this bar. Thr drinks are lower than standard. Long island was the worst drink of the night. 6 of us agreed that it was the worst long island in our life. Also, I can make better mojito by myself without waiting for 30 mins for the drink in this bar. Another blue drink with whipping cream on top was terrible too. The whipping cream was the poorest quality cream that you can find in the market. Lastly, the attitude of one of the male staff wasn't right, not polite and arrogant. Great atmosphere and decor; staff were very friendly and helpful so it was a pleasure place to chill with friends in the evening. However, cocktail quality was disappointing: e.g. Champagne Lover: it would have been a delicious cocktail, but it was flat and hardly any fuzziness, you should never serve a champagne cocktail when the champagne itself is flat. Betel hot girl: far too spicy. Negroni: too sweet for a bitter taste type of cocktail - perhaps they used Aperol instead...
