One hell of a dining experience. No matter in a group, a couple or an individual, the attention you get is the same. Will always include umai into my travel itinerary when im in Taichung. You will not get any service better than this. You can see the passion in their eyes.

The quality is good, and the best part you get to play with it. Order the wagyu steak and its good with its pricing. Had a pot of vegetables soup to wash down the entire meal, soup was surprisingly sweet hope its sweetness is coming from all the vegetables and not sugar.

Ohh i forget to mention the damn stove has a vacuum system so when you exit you can still get back to work and your boss wouldn’t know...

We arrived at 8:00 PM with a reservation, but still had to wait until 8:30 PM without a table. At first, it was frustrating, what’s the point of making a reservation if the queue isn’t managed properly?

However, the staff did apologize sincerely and even gave us a super cute hand-drawn picture as a gesture of apology. That small act showed they were willing to improve and take responsibility for the issue.
