I recently dined at sona’s restaurant that I was excited to try out. I love Indian cuisine and was eager to sample some of their dishes. However, my experience left me feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. The menu was pretty simple and not complicated and only like total of 10 dishes in which they were also out of Samosa’s which was really disappointing !!!!
First of all, the food was not authentic Indian cuisine. While the menu listed traditional Indian dishes, the flavors and spices were all wrong. Instead of the complex, aromatic flavors of Indian cuisine, the dishes tasted bland and lacked any depth or complexity.
To make matters worse, the food had a distinct flavor that reminded me of Japanese curry. While I enjoy Japanese curry, I didn't expect it in an Indian restaurant. The flavors were completely off and did not complement the dishes in any way.
The dishes themselves were also lackluster. The masala curry and korma curry was dry and lacked any heat or spice. Even the naan, which is usually a highlight of any Indian meal, was bland, fluffy and unremarkable.
The service was very good, the host were very friendly and also gave us a table without a reservation, but it couldn't make up for the disappointing food. Overall, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine.
Bon appetite...

The garlic flatbread was just chopped garlic thrown on top - no real flavor or richness like proper garlic butter. The sauces were bland, and overall the variety was limited. For the price, it's really not worth it. Honestly, one of the weakest Indian dining experiences I've...
Read moreThe naan/roti had nice texture, but the flavored one (garlic) wasn't that memorable. The curry itself was rather bland (weak with no spice) and the taste felt off (some flavors there but in strange ratios). For example, the masala became a tomato stew 😆 For 300/person,...
