“California Roll” was very disappointing. The waitress said it had sashimi in it, but turns out was just apple, cucumber avocado and salad. Price is very high for a simple salad roll (320) and disguised as something else. The manager later apologized that the waitress didn’t know their own food and gave us a soda. They’re also pretty forward and persistent in getting you to review them online, they offer egg sushi in return for good review. So that’s why there’s so many high reviews I guess.
The menu also is a lie. According to the manager, they USED to put sashimi in many rolls but recently they decided they want to ‘help people eat more healthily.’ But the menu still says the rolls have fish in them and the waitress backed that up. So I’m forced to assume it’s intentional or just lazy misleading of customers
If you change the food, then you should update the menu.
The one positive is the bowl, item #1 on the menu. That was pretty good, but surprisingly small quantity for even one person to eat at $600. Definitely a no on coming again or recommending anyone come...
Read moreGreat food, price is decent, would've given 5 stars if it weren't for two things: 1. The entrance was completely blocked by mopeds, this is something that can be easily solved by the restaurant. The waitress greeted us at the front door, which was nice, however she did not take any action and watched us squeeze in between mopeds. Those who are familiar with mopeds know that the space in between its tight, and the muffler can still be hot enough to burn your legs. 2. The eel and scallops bowl did not come with a scallop, and the same happened to the customer next table. Lack of attention to detail is usually what kills the the 5th...
Read moreHighly overrated Japanese restaurant in town. The seafood bowl is fresh and rich. Yet the Favour is not coming out as it seems. We order the one served in wood container and it comes with more than 10+ types of seafood. To me the favour is not mixing together so well. Perhaps it would be better to focus on 2-3 types of seafood instead of a carnival of sashimi to strive for the best balance. This tasting experience to me is average, a bit overpriced considering this quality and this location (Tainan). The menu has a variety of different dishes though. The tamagoyaki is surprisingly the highlight of...
