“Overrated” “Big hat, no cattle” “Empty suit” “Pretty body, but no heart or soul” These are some of the expressions that come to my mind when I think back of this place. Unfortunately, this is another case of a fancy building decor that makes one believe the food might be good, but this one is just not the case. I love how a Japanese restaurant can open in Taiwan and people think that decor and employees yelling “Irashaimase!” makes for a quality establishment. First thing - never never run out of Japanese Karaage. It is the most basic item at any Izakaya. Second - when a customer is looking at a menu, ask if he is done before just taking the menu away. Third - The food’s taste is so-so and not presented very well. If you want true Izakaya style food, there is a little Izakaya in Anping (I love that it’s not overrun with people so I won’t say the restaurant’s name; just that it is in Anping :) ) that is run by a Japanese lady and a Taiwanese guy. 店員解說的語速快到像「投資一定有風險,基金投資有賺有賠,申購前應詳閱公開說明書。」大概是人潮太多了非常忙碌,但解說內容還算詳盡。
1.味噌蛤蜊豆腐湯,大約2人份,太甜….味道超重有一個很濃的甜味,不合胃口,裡面也有一些沒泡發的海帶芽。 2.雞心串(菜單左上角烤串類都是一份2串)醬也是偏甜。 3.黑板菜單—燉牛筋,超級好吃,中間一大塊豆腐吸飽醬汁很下飯。牛筋量給非常多~而且燉得極度軟爛,最喜歡這道✨ 4.牛舌打卡$199,份量很少,旁邊一小坨蔥鹽醬調味很棒,薑的味道有點明顯,蘸點鹽也很好吃~吃起來沒什麼牛舌的感覺,反倒像是一般的牛排🤣 5.雞腿串非常好吃呢!肉好嫩還一直滴汁,皮薄烤得酥脆!烤雞翅的皮也是超薄超脆! 6.水蓮是我很喜歡的蔬菜,但這盤炒得不是很完美。水蓮很脆,但是脆到有些部分是硬的,有些吃起來不會,感覺沒有炒均勻;調味部分我覺得完全沒鹹味,可以再鹹一點,(二訪就沒有生生跟太鹹的問題了~)生蛋黃攪拌後其實完全沒有存在感🥲 7.明太子雞腿串很讚歐~明太子醬很濃,雞肉也沒有腥味所以很喜歡。 8.酒蒸蛤蜊的蛤蜊肉超~飽滿~但是完全沒有酒香味,也沒有一般居酒屋會吃到的調味—蒜末、辣椒末;湯汁喝了一口發現就是超級普通的蛤蜊湯味道而已….有點可惜 9.櫻花蝦炒飯大概2-3人份,好ㄘ! 10.胡麻炸豆腐,外殼蠻厚蠻硬的,很像夜市的炸牛奶QQ 11.日式炸雞令人驚艷,雖然賣相沒有很好顏色比較深,讓人以為吃起來會很乾硬,殊不知超嫩多汁外表也很脆呢 12.香蕉梅酒$150給超少,實際的量大概只有半杯玻璃杯 13.烤肥腸很香~份量也不錯 14.豬舌很特別,以為會像牛舌一樣薄薄的脆彈,結果完全不一樣,很軟嫩厚實! 15.雞肉丸蠻普通的,調味太重了
