Our local friends told us that this place is super popular in Tainan and is a common hangout spot so we decided to come here on our last day.
This restaurant has two floors; on the ground floor you order your meal and on the second floor is the seating area. The steps are kind of steep but the venue ambiance and decor is sooo lovely!
I was happy to see that they have vegetarian BBQ options as well which made me more willing to try out this place. I tried potato, mushroom, corn, cucumber, broccoli and mantou bread bbq. All the BBQ veggie sticks were sweet and salty, and as someone who likes savoury bbq more, I found it a little odd yet tasty.
Two dishes I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend are the mantou bread and the dried noodles.
The mantou read was so flavourful and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside; I was literally hogging onto it because it was so delicious! They have a BBQ and sweet option for the bread and we got to try both. I definitely liked the savoury one better, but the sweet one was also really nice (this is coming from someone who has a very small sweet tooth!)
Secondly, the dried noodles with fried onions were literally addictive. I got to try the non spicy and medium spicy noodles from my friends and though I have a fairly high spice tolerance, I wouldn’t call the spicy noodles spicy, but rather flavourful. Though the non spicy noodles were relatively bland, they were really yummy.
Definitely a MUST visit when you’re in Tainan, I already miss the noodles and wish I could get...

Gas based charcoal, food was delicious, served hot 🔥 and smoky (could not get the coal smell, but still very juicy)
For something a little different, there’s also a selection of meat (beef, pork, and chicken) and seafood (prawns, fish cake), which will provide a stunning centerpiece in their menu. Prices are quite cheap; take a lot of time to cool and serve, and their draft beer is the best 👌, supreme quality (bit sweet and sour). These barbecues are made with freshly ground mest sauce, combined with onion, garlic, chili, coriander, and paprika for a gently spiced American flavor. We asked for maximum spicy, but the spiciness wasn't to our level, but still, the meat pieces were evenly marinated with the chili spice.
Recommended ones - Pork 🐷rolled with small tomatoes🍅, beef 🍖 and tender chicken 🐔 Thanks to wild BBQ, it was a great Christmas Eve and well spent dinner.
Bon appetite...
