Knock knock is destined to be on the "top 50" list soon! Immediately upon entry we knew we were in for an unforgettable experience. The ambience was striking - bold black walls, inspired decor, and a remarkable attention to detail. The Knock Knock burger was incredible, and the fried chicken would have been right at home alongside Nashville's best. The true magnum opus was, of course, the cocktails. Every drink was beautifully crafted, and each tasted better than the last. We had the opportunity to try drinks on both floors, and every one was an absolute hit! Each drink featured local flavors and was incredibly innovative, with flavors that the three of us had not experienced across many, many bars. Our time at Knock Knock was the mixology highlight our time in Taipei, for the reasons above as well as an absolutely incredible bar and wait staff!

Knock knock had exceptional service - they were attentive and willing to explain a lot of the menu. There is a minimum amount that you need to order. They have an interesting take on their menu with a comparison of western and eastern styles and flavors. My favorite cocktail of the night was the Cao Zai Kueh. It was well balanced and had their version of a traditional Taiwanese treat that was so delicious, enough that I was hoping they sold it on the side. They also had these flavored distilled spirits called knock knock shots. We tried the oolong and it was awesome! It had so much tea flavor and aroma. Beautiful space, would love to come again!

From outside, one wouldn't think that this place provided so many delicious drinks and food. We were led to the second floor bistro for an experience we would not soon forget. The food was an interesting mix of East and West flavours - same with they cocktail concept - wherein they had and East and a West version of the cocktail. I loved the Okonomiyaki flavoured Lasagna, the Mala-flavoured noodles with chicken, and the salmon curry with crispy kale. The Laksa Colada, Corn Soup and Beetroot Citrus Salad cocktails were my favourites. Definitely a must visit when you are in Taipei.
