Bistro: D — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

Very disappointed with this restaurant. The food took around 20 minutes; not to mention, the food was overpriced.

The panini with tomato was a bit bland and lacking flavour, also with the bread being a bit soggy from the tomatoes.

The soup dumplings (or xiao long bao) was actually a joke. The outside layer or "skin" , as I like to call it, had holes in it and the soup had already leaked out. A soup dumpling with no soup, now that's actually embarrassing. We decided to let them know and they kindly took it away and let us order something else.

We got another hamburg steak with tomato to replace the other dish and it was actually not bad. It had pretty decent flavour, but the meat was a little tough. I would say this would be the best dish our of our entire meal.

Overall, this was not a very good meal. The service was mediocre, but however, nothing stood out. I highly recommend you to walk pass this restaurant there might be something better along the way. With all due respect, this should be...

Gave me severe diarrhea. The chicken donburi was absolutely disgusting, but I was hungry enough to eat it—big mistake. Fried food was inedible and disgusting as well. My two year old daughter loves French fries but she spit them out. My wife had the beef donburi bowl and the beef was inedible as well—worst beef I’ve ever had. Caesar salad tasted nothing like Caesar salad—more like a house salad with best foods mayo. Way overpriced as well, we spent over $60 for the worst meal I’ve ever had. The beef noodles were nice to my taste. However, the service was not consistent. When I arrived, the staff were enthusiastic, greeted me warmly, and brought me in. I noticed they also greeted other customers when they left.

But when I was leaving, the staff did not acknowledge me at all. They were not busy just chatting among themselves and they clearly saw me. This made me feel unappreciated and treated differently.
