Cura Pizza — Restaurant in Wanhua District

Seriously legit authentic pizza! 😍 My cousin kept raving that it's possibly the best in Taiwan and I had my doubts (pizza in TW?).. but it's indeed really good pizza. The owner is also a very nice person and he makes all the dough fresh by hand before the store opens. He also puts the pizzas together himself (you can observe at the window) and puts it into his imported 🔥 clay oven 👍 You can also see his many awards from Italy for first place pizza competitions on the wall attesting to his skills.

We got there maybe 20 minutes after the shop opened and there were already many people there. By the time we finished and were ready to go (an hour later), the boss called for last orders cuz he's outta pizza dough! 😮 I guess sometimes they'll close up shop early so watch out! That's how crazy popular and yummy this place is haha there isn't even enough supply to meet the demand~ it is a very high quality thin crust pizza.

My personal recommendations would be the classic Margherita and the white truffle mushroom one (if you like heavier flavors). We didn't like the salmon or desert ones quite as much although I doubt you can go wrong with any of them ~ It's a real hidden gem in Taipei and our other friend liked it so much, he went back the very next day for lunch to eat...

I came here on a weekday evening around 6:00 p.m. the day before an outpatient procedure at a nearby hospital.

What stood out to me during my time there was the kindness and quality of the service; the care and attention was authentic and not overwhelming.

Additionally, the pizza (arugula with serrano ham) was dare I say, perfect! What I noticed was the balance of the ingredients. The sauce wasn't too acidic. The it was perfectly baked and not over seasoned nor burnt. And the freshness of the arugula and ham combined with the balsamic and olive oil dipping sauce will have me coming back for more again soon.

The interior is very well maintained, providing a clean and relaxing environment to enjoy pizza.

It's certainly a trek from the main parts of Taipei but well worth your time supporting a local business like this.

Service is excellent - highly personal, warm, and friendly! The staff found out we were there for a birthday celebration and went the extra mile to make the experience even more enjoyable and memorable.

The food exceeded our expectations. Each pizza is made with the freshest ingredients and served straight from the pizza oven, so you'll experience an aromatic burst of flavor. The dough is the perfect degree of chewiness and compliments the toppings nicely.

Indoor seating capacity is limited and it can get pretty hot with the large pizza oven, so I'd recommend to sit outdoors if you can't take the heat.
