Tian Wai Tain Hot Pot & BBQ — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

This place is really good! This reminds me of another place I ate at at Xiamen called Bear 1, but we found out that, that place had a fire and was burnt down. Glad we were able to stumble upon this hidden gem. There is so much food here. First off you pick what sort of soup base you want, is it tomato, kimchi, clear brother, or mala. Then you choose which package you want. Pretty much A, B, or C, with each higher package that will include the previous package. We gave the highest package a try, which was 899 NT a person, and because we had 3 people they included one time, small lobster (split in w), 2 big scallop, and premium beef. Would have liked to get more of this, but we were told it was one time, so I hope this helps anyone out while choosing.

You use a QR code to order the meat that you want, and you can only order 8 at a time. Besides this there was a whole self serve area that had SO MUCH. It was a bit overwhelming because of so much that they had. I even found the Ice Cream/ Soda station only after as I was leaving.

So they have the station which I just mentioned, a coffee , white rice area, beer on tap/ tea area. They have a side dish area, a make your own sauce area, fruit and apple cider beer area, and lastly a hot pot pick your own items area. Even this last sentence you can tell there is just so much.

I want to make sure I note a few things. The side dish area, all the side dishes were pretty good. I especially liked the quail eggs, jellyfish, and the cabbage. The sauce area I liked that they also had a stir fried pepper salt that was pretty much good with anything. The Hot pot area, pretty much any ingredient that you have had in hot pot I’m sure was there.

There is a time limit so keep note I think you have about 2 hours to finish your meal. We had plenty of time to relax and enjoy our meal. Will definitely be back!...

I'm going to edit my review about the place.( bcoz its so frustrating)actually this was the 6th or 7th time that me and my friends celebrated our birthday there. before the one serving us was very nice people. and very much warm and approachable. but just this last sept 22 we celebrated my friends bday and there is a total of 10 pax. The one serving us is very rude and been like scolding us not to turn the fire up. But we are not touching aything. shes been insisting we touch something and that is the time I raised my voice and told them to check CCTV. By the time we paid the bill.
