At the door, I was greeted by a nonresponsive face until I hand waved him to make sure he is alive and could get me a table. Not a big surprise, it's Taipei. I got it, this is not Paris or New York City where greeting clients are the FIRST sale of anything. Thank me in your heart for the FREE Disney Clientele Service class. (or worthy of an extra Google star) Food: 2 pieces of sliced salmon (just like New York deli flavored, could be better quality for a restaurant), side salad, balsamic vinegar floating with light "oil" set aside, 2 small warm croissants, and scrabbled eggs (a bit runny at time of consumption). Service: reasonably standard but did not provide a coffee spoon until request. Coffee, nothing special, just regular taste at least not as bad as other restaurants, however; no white or brown sugar is available at request only light sugar syrup provided. I brought my own salt and black pepper for the scrambled eggs and salmon. I didn't want to give her/server too much stress after 2 food/drink related questions. Atmosphere: it's consider better than other restaurants in Taipei. It's open and airy; well lit with large windows, tables, and chairs were well spaced. Thoughts: Instead of pointed at a picture on the menu, it would be nice if the staff can actually explain about the food they serve. I just think the staff were just too young and inexperienced better levels of training or had visited the same levels of restaurants to see how service industry works. By the time I finished my food and paid, total human spoken words were less than 30. Absolutely amazing for me to experience at a restaurant that cannot explain the food they provide, and unfortunately for such young, intelligent, and unresponsive staff. Closing comment: those 2 little croissants were the best of everything because they were served warm and tasted fresh. Other food and coffee were just food and coffee, nothing special. Maybe it was just a brunch. But then, as Parisian chefs often take to heart "you only have ONE chance" when a...

As a Meissen collector for almost 30 years, I'm always delighted to find random stores using their tableware. Sadly, however, food&coffee over here were disappointing and the service was totally disaster.

Yeah I'm talking about the male staff(s) and I wasn't the only one feeling uncomfortable, 2 more customers who I've never met before were also angry about the same attitude issues (on the same day). The only star is for the girl staff trying so hard to make things up.

Back to the food itself. While the ingredients they're using seemed all fine, there's plenty of room for improvement (especially their so-called signature tiramisu, trust me I've had plenty of tiramisus from around the world to make this statement). And btw don't get me wrong, I don't really care about the prices (which I heard other customers complaining about) cause as a New Yorker myself, 99% of food and restaurants here in Taiwan (including this store)...

Nice ambiance and service but it's not conveniently located. It's about a 15 minute walk from the Jiannan Rd MRT Station. I'm not a coffee drinker but their chocolate latte and strawberry yogurt smoothie are nothing to write home about. For the price that you're paying (230 ntd), you would expect fresh strawberries or at least a hint of strawberry flavor. It reminded me of an unsweetened original Indian lassi. If you like tart upon tart, this is the drink for you. Although I hate to waste food, I just couldn't finish it. However, the tiramisu is a good-sized portion and is appropriate for sharing. All-in-all, it wasn't a bad experience but not...

It has been a while since we were last here. It was a popular spot for people that exercised on the riverside path. We were lucky to get a seat at all as it was fully booked. They sat us at a table that had a later reservation so we were allowed "only" 70 minutes for breakfast. So as with so many places, this place gives the customers incentive to rate the place for a small physical thank you if you catch my drift. But I honestly think this place deserves this rating. The food was served quickly, was delicious and the ambiance was just right, it has style without being pretentious. It's a nice place to be.
