Glass of Red — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Unfortunately this was a bad match for my lunch as neither I nor my friend really drink. She selected the place anticipating some other guests that could have enjoyed the wine, which is what this place really specializes in.

So speaking strictly about the food, we started with a salad with roasted chicken and some mixed mushrooms, both of which were good. The mushrooms were more of a side dish and very buttery so I wish it came out with the main course rather than with the salad.

My friend ordered some type of white fish which was unfortunately overcooked and with an intense fishy flavor - the equivalent of gamey with red meat. We had to send it back but our server/maître-d was very gracious about it.

I ordered the special Iberian roast pork and it came out looking good with a nice brown sauce. My friend found it too salty for her taste but I thought it was OK, but I like salty foods. However the cut had a lot of fat that had toughened up with roasting so a fair amount of it was inedible being way too chewy.
