Peter Better Cafe — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

I hate leaving bad reviews... I went here with a friend and my partner. My partner and I are vegan and I have a dairy allergy. He ordered a oat latte and I ordered a brown sugar oat latte. My partner speaks Mandarin quite well and he told them oat milk in Mandarin as well as English and I confirmed as I always do at cafes that it was oat milk. When we got our drinks they looked good and taking a sip I knew it was not oat milk. I got my partner to taste it and he told me it was oat milk. My mouth began to itch. I said, I am going to go double check. When I asked the staff if it was made with oat milk they told me that one was made with dairy. I told them I ordered it made with oat milk. Then the person working told me I had to pay an extra $30 to get it with oat ( I am pretty sure we already paid for that when we ordered). I didn't want to make a big deal so I just paid again and waited for my drink to be made. I am home now and since I have a dairy allergy I am feeling quite ill. I was really put off that even after I told them they got my order wrong they charged me for it. I will feel sick for a few days because of this. 😥 There should be some sort of fail safe so orders don't get missed like this and people with allergies can order with confidence. Maybe just make all drinks with oat milk instead of dairy. I am quite disappointed.
