We came to celebrate my birthday. My husband had made reservations and told them that we were going there to celebrate my birthday. The server who brought us to our table reminded us that we were there to celebrate my birthday (Yes, that's correct) and asked if I would like them to sing to me (No, that's not necessary. Thank you) and that they would give me a birthday dessert after our meal (Thank you). Three of our party of four ordered hamburgers, and I ordered fish and chips (fries) and a side salad. The hamburgers were tasty, and my salad and fish were scrumptious. I love the way TGIFridays does their fish: crispy on the outside and soft and tender in the inside. (How DO they do that?!) Fries are not TGIFs specialty; they taste quite bland. The head server was very friendly; however, the server for our table seemed to be in a daze every time she came over to us, even though we spoke to her in Chinese which she said she understood. Perhaps she was run off her feet or didn't feel well. They forgot the birthday ice cream at the end of the meal which my husband had to ask for. Oopsie! Maybe TGIFs is too busy on the weekends to "make much of" people...
Read moreFish and Chips ($350): It has been one of my favourite dishes from TGI Fridays and every time I have it, my taste buds and stomach feel satisfied. The great crisps on the surface and the texture of the fish inside complement each other perfectly. The chips also taste great and if there’s not ketchup on your table, you can ask for one.
Virgin Margarita ($180) (Spirit-free/Mocktails): I’ve always been fond of non-alcoholic Margarita due to my abstention from drinking alcohols and its rich, syrupy and tarted flavour. Furthermore, you can choose to be put ice cubes or as a form of smoothie as I prefer the latter.
The closest exit to the restaurant is exit 7 and both MRT Green and Orange Lines can lead you here if there’s no transfer.
In summary, it’s such an amazing place for people who feel like celebrating or any other dining purposes. They always make delicious drinks and foods of high quality with efficiency. TGI Fridays has never disappointed since I was a little kid. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10.
FYI, wait on the ground floor for the staff to allocate a table for you, and the 10% service charge is included...
Read moreEverything was fine except that they don't provide any salsa to go with the fajita that we ordered. The condiments were guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese, and chopped tomatoes, NOT pico de gallo. When I asked for some salsa, the server and the manager, Christine said their entire restaurant has none to offer. I asked what about their other Mexican items, do they not offer salsa to go with those items? She assured me that there's none at all. So do not order any Mexican items, because they will come dry, like my chicken fajitas. My bill was $3940nt, other foods that we ordered were fine, but we left with the dried fajita taste in our mouths. It was quite a sad and disappointing experience. If this is the trend, I wouldn't be surprised that their customers will have to bring their own condiments soon. The atmosphere was suppposed to be FUN, but what we felt was...
