Safari Bistro — Restaurant in Arusha

I guess its my fault coming back... When will i learn. So food was good but took light years.. Also they got my order wrong. I even asked the waitress to write it down but apparently doing that is outdated? Anyways so order was wrong.. And they had a huge fight and discussion in the kitchen about it. Then one of them had the audacity to ask me whether i had actually ordered what they brought. In attempt to somehow convince me I didn't know what i want... 😂🤦 The debate continued as to what the order was.. Which could have been avoided if someone had just written down.. So i will remember to donate some pens and paper next time we distribute...

I can understand the good reviews of this place. It's comfortable, spacious, the staff communicate well and it's right next to the shoppers supermarket which is essentially every tourist's safe haven in Arusha. However, it's by far the most expensive place we ate at in 4 days we were here. Both our order of 2 entrees was messed up. The food was "meh", safe flavors and taste clearly catered to the palate of the tourists. I suppose I'm being too critical, but for the price relative to other eateries within the same compound, it really is...

This place food was amazing when it opened up but right now it’s not as amazing, I usually go here on Sundays for breakfast or brunch, I always get the steak and eggs but this time around the steak was dry and the sautéed potatoes weren’t as flavorful, the burger was good but the bun was stale and it just crumbled up with one bite.
