"A pretty waitress does not bring business, but repeat customers do"! Its my first time at The Dawn Café - but highly unrecommendable. Its Saturday morning arrived at 9am and quickly placed our order of samosa, 1 tea pot and 1 coffee and toast brown bread. We asked for an extra cookie with the tea, and the waitress was quick to say that Management does not allow customers to have extras. We told the lady that we will pay for the 2extra cookies and she refused. We asked for toasted brown bread and the same waitress said Management has not authorised. We then asked to order brown bread from a nearby supermarket and we're willing to pay extra for it. She said No, management does not permit and we will have eat what they have, even though brownbread is an option on the breakfast menu. To add on to our disappointment the breakfast arrived 1 hr later! Honestly it was a bad start of the morning since there are other premises who have quick and a variety of breakfast options, perhaps better than The Dawn. But for the sake of wanting to patronise the cafe we were highly let down, and behind schedule with other commitments. Kindly look into this closely since businesses close due to lack of business. And it is due to lack of competent staff, lack of customer care, nor manager on site that let down such businesses. Besides, the location had been closed for years for the same reason when it was under different management. Such an investment requires close supervision, manager on site, ample stock for kitchen staff to work with and quick service considering it is a café with only 2customers at "the dawn" we started the Saturday with. The service and meals we ordered werent free - we are paying customers and we did not receive value for money. I personally will not make the same mistake again. Bless and success in your future operations.

Please avoid - even though they do have good drinks (juices) , the quality of food is very poor. Below you will see a picture of their “light and healthy” breakfast , which should include 2 poached eggs , bacon, sausage, tomatoes . So, poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs, and when we notified the server , he ended up bringing ONE correctly cooked poached egg (instead of 2) . The bacon was completely missing , and when we questioned the server he answered - we are out of bacon for the day. At the end, he charged us full amount and explained that if we don’t pay full price, he will have to pay it out of his paycheck . Please avoid this restaurant and eat at your hotel if possible.

Good place for fresh fruits and salads, and fresh juices. Friendly service, outdoor undercover seating with cool breeze blowing even on hot days like today. The cafe is clean, quiet, away from the main road, safe for tourists, very reasonable prices. I've been here twice in the last two days!

Place has a cool atmosphere and is located in the middle of Moshi. The staff is friendly and there is a lot of variety on their menu. However, we would like to point out to things - the food took approximately one hour to be ready for us. We would understand if things are made on the moment, it might take a bit longer, but it was a long waiting time. Food was good at the end, but I don’t know if it was worth the one hour waiting. Also, the French toast served was only toast (literally just two pieces of touch). Although they have French toast on the menu and we pointed the request from the menu to avoid confusion, we are not able to tell if it was a miscommunication error or if the staff thought that was French toast. We laugh about it at the time, but it was a bit disappointing after the whole waiting time at the...
