Kindoroko Hotel — Hotel in Kilimanjaro

This was my dad's second time staying here for a Kilimanjaro hike. The reception person was very welcoming. We stayed in a VERY spacious 3 person room with plenty of room for our gear and bags. They stored our bags while we hiked and had a safe for our passports and money. The wifi only works in the lobby- but it is all that you need. There is no longer a restaurant with food at the bottom but has the cheapest bottled water/ nice bar with drink that we could find. We brought pizza back and had dinner at the hotel. Towels and bar soap are provided. So bring shampoo/ conditioner if you need that. The staff is very accommodating and will help you carry anything you need up and down the stairs. Very clean and very fun. You feel like you are really in Africa- but a very affordable place for my family. Within walking distance of a gear rental shop and Indoitalian- the best restaurant in Moshi!...

I stayed 5 nights at the hostel. Very kind and helpful staff. The room has its own bathroom. The rooms are not to forward to the main street so it is quiet. Breakfast is very nice like a buffet. Only at the last day they had not all cerales and enough bread. Price unbeatable. Wifi does just work to the first floor. Some ants are in the room but deal with it. Daily room service also in the afternoon is possible. The towels are sometimes a bit old and look very used. The location of the hostel is great. Just few walking minutes to the bus station and to several shops and restaurants. The rooftop bar where you have breakfast is stunning. Stay at the Kindoroko hostel already the panoramic view to Mount Kilimanjaro makes...

Very fine and friendly service. However, the rooms were unbearably hot despite nicely cool temperatures outside. Mosquito nets were poorly designed/chosen with smooth (rather than netted) fabric on the top that prevented the ceiling fan from providing any benefit. No standing rotating fans available. So you had to either forsake the mosquito net or sweat in bed. I tried two rooms on two different nights, same problem.Ground floor lounge area was poorly lit, and even here close to internet router had weak signal. It didn't bother me, but the location is also fairly loud early in the morning as it's along...
