I did not expect to find a great, think focaccia in Zanzibar, but I might come back here later just to buy it on its own. It was thin, warm, salty and really good with the chili oil they served on the side. I also tried the pesto dip to have on the crust of the foccacia, but it was just ok. Not enough flavour in my taste. The pizza was really good, I ate the chorizo with added pineapple (not on the menu, but asked if it was possible). A good pizza, but I don’t understand why the chorizo is cut into squares instead of thin, round slices like pepperoni? My lady tried the 4 cheeses but she was a bit dissapointed that it was so burnt on the cheese and it felt a bit dryer than my pizza. Todays dessert were panne cotta and tiramisu. My tiramisu was good, soft and juicy, I would say 3/5 stars. But nothing I would come back for or buy again. The panne cotta my lady was dissapoint over. She buys panne cotta all over the world but didn’t find this anything special or worth buying again. The desserts costs 10.000 ts each (just mentioning since they don’t show up on the menu). All in all I’m happy we went here, but I’ll probably only come back for the focaccia if I do. Edit: I did actually come back the next day and bought a foccacia to bring with me to where we were staying 😊

Very nice authentic Italian restaurant in Zanzibar, for appetizers we had Bruschetta was SO GOOD 10/10. Also we had stuffed pepper was amazing (not for those who don’t like garlic). Also we had chicken avocado salad (the only unfortunate dish the chicken was tasteless). For the main course we had pizza margarita very delicious thin crust and flavorful. Lastly we had Pasta (the owner was so nice he made a special one based on our request.) The staff were so helpful and nice specially Mary. Overall I’ll comeback again to try different dishes🤍.

A bit expensive for what you get. The appetizers (garlic pizza bread & stuffed peppers) were mediocre to say the least. One pepper with a bit of minced meat in it. The garlic pizza bread could be so much more if the toppings were mixed together, now it was just dry. For the drinks we ordered 2 cocktails, one blue negroni but the colour was dark purple and waaaaaay too strong. The colour normally should be light blue so they put way to much liquor in it which made it hard to even drink. The pizzas were good.

We enjoyed two fantastic dinners here and highly recommend Pompetti Restaurant. Our first visit coincided with their celebration of the restaurant's 2-year anniversary, which featured great live music and a birthday cake that was shared with all the guests. But most importantly, the food was terrific. Their pizzas are delicious and the menu includes a nice variety of classic and also some creative toppings. Considering the high-quality ingredients, it's very reasonably priced, especially in comparison to other restaurants in the area. Everything was perfected by a personal welcome by the owner the wonderfully attentive and friendly staff. The team's great attitude and dynamic make it evident that Pompetti Restaurant is really well managed. Needless to say, we visited the restaurant again during our stay in Jambiani and will certainly return the next time we...

First 🌟 & second ⭐ service, this small owner operated business is over the top. he once stayed open to 3 am until the last customer left, because of this type of customer is the most important attitude, I eat there 4 to 5 times a week, they will even cook something special if they can, if you have allergies.

Third 🌟 food 🍲, everything on the menu is worth eating twice. From the tiramasu, the Quatro fromage and choriza pizza awesome, I meat plate a favorite entre cheese portions a bit small but Delish

Forth 🌟 everything you would come to expect from an authentic Italian pizzaria. Even a giant screen to watch all the soccer games. The place to be for the world cup.

Fifth 🌟 overall rating, the best thumbs up. 👍 Closed on Thursday bare...
