A disappointing experience to say the least. We sat down around 2pm for lunch. We ordered a couple of drinks that came out quickly, and when I tried to order the burger, I was told they ran out. Meanwhile, I watched two burgers get served while we waited over an hour for our food. During the longer than usual wait, nobody came to check on us, offer us more drinks, or give us an update on our dishes. It wasn’t until our food was almost ready that the manager/owner came up and told us “sorry, it’s chaos one week out of the year.” Meanwhile, we heard him berating the kitchen staff, asking them what was taking so long, telling them they should NOT serve plates unless all dishes were ready. It was uncomfortable and sad to see someone so rude to their staff.
If we had been acknowledged, checked on, and informed, and if the owner/manager was nicer to their staff, i would have given it more...
Read moreWe came to Scooby Doo Restaurant twice, really wanting to give it a fair chance because the location is fantastic—right by the sea with stunning views that are easily one of the highlights. Both times, we hoped for a relaxed meal in a beautiful setting.
On our last visit, we ordered king prawns with veggie rice and grilled fish, but the fish came out fried instead, which was a letdown. The food took about 40 minutes to arrive, so patience is definitely required.
Prices were fair, and the setting has real potential, but unfortunately the atmosphere was completely disrupted by loud Romanian music blasting through the speakers. It made conversation difficult and took away from the peaceful seaside vibe we were looking for.
Overall, a mixed experience. We genuinely wanted to enjoy it, but despite the great view and decent food, the ambiance just didn’t deliver the chill vibe we...
Read moreI came here today with my friend we are both black. We walk into the restaurant and none of the owners greeted us the (owners are European) we were sat by a maasai guy who was really nice. The owners never acknowledge either me or my friend but greeted all the other white people who came in the restaurant the lady owner also kept looking over at our table like we were going to run away.
