In short, disappointed especially in beef itself.
Full story:
We ordered medium rare Picanha and lamb as mains and both were quite far from perfect. The lamb was already quite chill and medium at best. When we asked the staff about it, she said it was overcooked due to butter poaching (as if it was part of the default cooking and not their fault) and if it was edible for us.
It gets worst when the picanha came, even it was perfectly cooked as medium rare, it was wayyyy too chewy and no sign of tenderness whatsoever. When we talked to the staff and she mentioned it's the nature of this part, the ends of both sides would be chewy and tender in the middle.
Believe it or not, we were able to eat around 40-50% of the beef while the rest had to be thrown away since it took us minutes to chew one small bite, unbearable.
The taste of the mains and side dishes were actually nice, just the raw material and execution that could have possibly been better. We had high expectation as the reputation of iron chef is at stake but turned out disappointed.
Edited: The staff gave us 50% discount on the lamb dish due to its overcooking and we appreciated the responsibility. Meanwhile we believe the beef was actually the most...
Read moreBeastie Steakhouse is truly a hidden gem in Bangkok. The design and ambience are excellent, with a stylish open kitchen where you can see the chefs skillfully preparing your meat — a real treat to watch.
The service is outstanding. From the warm welcome at the door to the attentive care throughout the evening, and even being escorted outside upon leaving — a level of hospitality that is rare to find these days in Thailand. Both the hostess and the manager were exceptional.
The food is fantastic and offers great value for the quality of meat. The menu is well thought out — simple, yet everything you’d hope to find in a steakhouse. I especially want to highlight the rice pot with beef, which was absolutely amazing and a dish I would gladly come back for. The beef cart show is another must-try, full of flavor and different textures. The beef tongue with braised cabbage was outstanding, perfectly balanced and full of depth.
Desserts are equally impressive, and the wine list is excellent with plenty of good pairings to choose from.
Overall, Beastie Steakhouse delivers on every level — food, service, ambience, and value. A must-visit for steak and meat lovers in Bangkok. I will...
Read moreMy first experience eating steak at the restaurant. The atmosphere is very friendly. All the staff are lovely. If anyone comes, I recommend ordering a targo because the restaurant serves Mexican style, which I have never eaten anywhere before. The ribeye is the best, soft, and has a distinct meaty aroma. Another part of the meat.Another part of the meat that I would like to recommend is the tenderloin. It is very soft. Eat it with the restaurant's chimichurri sauce. It goes very well together. It is even more delicious when eaten with crispy fried taro. For those who do not eat meat, I recommend the lamb and pork chop menu. The pork chop is soft and not hard. The BBQ sauce is very delicious. It also cuts with the pork chop, which is very perfect. I have never eaten lamb anywhere else. I opened my heart to eat here for the first time. It is not smelly. It is grilled to perfection. It is even more delicious when eaten with the sour sauce that the restaurant serves. For those who are looking for a restaurant to eat in a group or as a couple, I would...
