One of the decent halal restaurants in Charoen Krung area! Gimme The Farm has such a variety of manus from Thai to Chinese to Japanese to Western food. Most of the manus we have tried are delicous.
Deep fried shrimp cakes are tasty, the outer part is crispy while inside is still juicy and go very well with plum sauce. Tom Yum roasted red beef with yellow noodle taste fantastic as the soup is so full of flavour and spicy and the marinated beef is tender & had nice aroma of smoke. Another favourite dish is dry version of boiled rice with assorted beef serving with spicy bean sauce as beef is nicely cooked and cripsy fried garlic is freshly made. Wonton soup is alright like authentic Chinese style. Thai pink noodle called Yen Ta Fo is also good as contains many of balls; fish balls, fried shrimp ball, fried tofu, and crispy wonton. Chinese olive fried rice is yummy and has a nice scent of smoky wok serivng along chopped chili & lime and fried cashew nut. Gyoza, fried dumpling stuffed with minced chicken, has a few kind to pick from. Onokomiyaki Gyoza tastes really good. Gyoza Sichuan sauce has become a must order for my family, so good! Fried chicken steak with ham & cheese is delicious, crispy outside while still juicy inside. Fried shrimp ball has a nice texture and sesame oil aroma serving with plum sauce.
They do serve delicious food here plus it is halal which some of the manus are not easy to find elsewhere. It is worth visiting even though it is difficult to find parking and long wait queue...
Read moreWe had red roasted beef with wonton noodle, seafood tom yum and papaya salad. They were all so delicious and does not disappoint us at all. The papaya salad came with fresh salted egg which I find interesting. The roasted beef gives off tinge of smoky which add flavour to the wonton noodle. The noodle was done well, nice and chewy. Tom yum was very umami and broth was rich in flavour. The prawn was small but fresh. The food makes you feel like they specially cook just for you! It's served warm, delicious, nice plating, place was clean. Although on that day when I came, the weather was so hot and they did not turn on the AC(hence I did not give full star rating for ambience) I'm not sure why..however they do provide fans. Our Grab driver almost missed this place cos it's located in an alleyway with only a small signage on top. You won't guess it leads to a restaurant if it's your first time there. You may think it's a parking area but you have to walk all the way in through that parking area and you could see their lovely restaurant full of greenaries on their exterior. Other that that, I would definitely recommend this place for the food, quality and value...
Read moreStumbled upon Gimme The Farm while exploring the area near the mosque, and I’m so glad I did. This place is a proper hidden gem — tucked away in what looks like a residential area, but once you step inside, it feels like a peaceful garden café with rustic charm and loads of greenery.
The food was absolutely spot on. I had a mix of Thai dishes, and everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell they take pride in using farm-grown ingredients — the vegetables were especially vibrant and crisp. The drinks were refreshing too, perfect with the spicy food.
The atmosphere was one of the highlights. Bright natural light, lush plants everywhere, cozy wooden furniture, and even a few cats hanging around outside — it felt like eating at a local friend’s place rather than a restaurant. The service was friendly, patient, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left.
It’s 100% halal, family-run, and just a wholesome place all around. Whether you're Muslim or not, if you want good food in a quiet and heartfelt setting, this is a place worth finding. I’ll...
