Jack Diamond — Restaurant in Bang Lamphu Lang Subdistrict

We went there on a Saturday night at peak dinner time (19:30-20:00). The restaurant was completely empty. Zero customers aside from us. Should’ve been a red flag, but reading the amazing reviews, we decided to still give it a try. Aside from taking our initial order and giving us the food, the waitress just got up and left us alone so we had to ask the man at the reception to ask for rice as the soup did not come with any. The “fresh” orange juice was powder juice with pulp floating in it, and although we didn’t drink any as it was gross, they still insisted on charging us. We didn’t bother arguing and just paid for everything as we ordered them, but we do have to say that the other reviews are unfortunately not good representation of the place. I added pictures of what we left (as you can see, we barely touched it), and the other soup we ordered (beef noodle soup) came spilled with hair in it. Again, nobody was there to help us, so we just paid and are somewhere else. Also, even though it’s a hotel, the credit card machines don’t have a tap function and do not take foreign cards. The worst service in Bangkok. We have ordered the spinach & cheese starter which came on the first hand cold. You could even see the cheese in pieces. They took it after 5 minutes and came back 5 minutes later with a hot plate, not with the bread that we have ordered. The bread came 10 minutes later, after I have received the burger which was cold. Then after asking a third time for the bread, they finally gave it to us (three pieces of small garlic bread - anyway).

Then after additional 10 minutes finally my girlfriend got her main dish. I could understand if the restaurant would have been full - but no - we have been the only ones sitting there and waiting for our food.

I would not recommend this restaurant - you have soooo many other nice...

To sum up: good food for the price, but service is shoddy.

We ordered a spinach and cheese appetizer and two entrées--one Thai and one burger. They brought out the burger, without the other entrée, before the appetizer. I requested the appetizer be brought first, as should always be the case. The spinach and cheese was good, but had no bread/chips/crackers to go with it and the restaurant said they had none???? Once I received my food, the burger and fries were cold. I asked for mustard, but they also didn't have mustard..

The Thai portion was a bit small, but the burger was pretty good, even if cold.

Good food at a good price, but the restaurant misses some...
