The October BTS Wongwianyai — Restaurant in Bang Lamphu Lang Subdistrict

I absolutely love this place. All of the food I had there is good, some of it really, really good. You get modern crossover dishes, traditional Thai, even your own selection made to order, all done with much higher quality ingredients than your average streetfood stall (and don't get me wrong, I love streetfood, when it's done right), prepared by an excellent chef, and all at more than fair prices for the food as well as the drinks. The service staff is great, the atmosphere unpretentious and welcoming for locals and foreigners, young and old alike. Great hangout, I have been here dozens of times, and will come back...

After two weeks and multiple cities in Thailand, I can definitively say that this is the worst place we ate at. I don't understand what people are doing giving this place anymore than one star. They must either be friends or paid reviews. We ordered a spaghetti with spicy sauce and bacon and it was literally just overcooked spaghetti noodles with Larb seasoning and the most tasteless bacon I have experienced in my life. (And I've had Vegan imitation bacon).

The "fried fish" and spicy "sauce" was also just Larb seasoning and the portion was tiny. It makes paying tourist prices at the Night Market seem...

From the reviews I understand that it used to be a good place but not any more. My yesterday night experience was the following:

Food was decent but not great. Waiter was friendly but I did not get my order right the first time. On top of that, my girlfriend's dish was served 20 minutes later than mine.

Management could improve a few things, start by optimising the staff. They were 4 waiters waiting and only one working. 2 waiters were enough for a Tuesday night. Put the rest of people in the kitchen to help prepare better meals!

Overall, not a great...
