Very good seafood noodles in a simple shop
We came here after seeing a raving review on YouTube (by ‘the roaming cook’ who said it’s the best noodle he ever had in Thailand) The Tom Yum seafood noodles were indeed very good. They are stuffed with fresh seafood that is not commonly found in such simple shops. There were mantis shrimp and crab claws. The regular portion is 100B and the upsized (larger bits of seafood) is 120B. for a such simple hole in the wall eatery in Thailand that’s quite expensive, but given the quality and quantity of seafood definitely well worth the price. So don’t judge this place by its appearance, but by what you get. The only thing that's incredible here is the disappointment. The taste was a waste of time, and the portion was a tear jerker - sad shrimps & crabs didn't even hit puberty. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the food tastes bad though. I mean if you're hungry and this restaurant happens to be right in your face then you might as well eat. But to travel there on purpose, after reading good reviews, is a grave mistake my friend. Oh, and the price, haha. I know seafood is expensive, generally speaking, so I understand. Read moreI don't know why this place is a 3.8 on google reviews. It's definitely much better than what the reviews reflect based on my experience. The ladies were very nice and helpful. I ate the seafood noodles dry because of my soy intolerance and my friend who had the soup liked it too. Tasted great. Seafood fresh and decent sized for 120 baht (just over $5 aud). Squid, mantis shrimp, crab, prawn. Delicious. And when you squeeze the lime with the peppery taste and bean sprouts and you mix the noodles, yummy....
