What else needs to be said about Adirak Pizza that the glowing reviews here haven’t already said? Wood-stove oven-cooked pizzas that have the light thin-crust that supports the freshest ingredients combined. Best to dine-in and eaten just when the pizza is served. This restaurant focuses on pizza. Unlike other places where they offer distracting sides and other mains, here the success of this place rests completely on their pizzas. And having eaten here 3-4 years ago, and returning here today, it’s clear they’ve rightfully gained the reputation they have in Chiang Mai. They’ve expanded and the dining-in experience is even more special, with swing jazz in the background, and an earthy aesthetic that complements their wood-stove oven. Having focus and delivering upon that focus is what makes this place stand out. There are 30 pizzas offered here. And just a handful of appetizers. That’s it. That’s the food menu. That’s how confident they are regarding their pizza-craft. 3-4 years ago, when this place was starting to gain a reputation, they had fewer tables and chairs, and felt more like a rustic dining spot, with no frills, except their beautiful wood-stove oven which was the main draw, along with their uncanny ability to pair the right ingredients to create their signature pizzas. Fast-forward to today, and the wood-stove oven remains but everything else feels elevated. The ambience, the interior decor, the overall vibe enhances the same signature pizzas that they have kept, along with an expanded range of pizzas. I think they started with 10-15 pizzas originally. I ordered #19: Chorizo. And it was amazing. Put this place on your must-try place if and when you’re in Chiang Mai. Hot Tip: The location here is perfect for an afternoon of rustic exploration and discovery because it’s right between two open-air creative handicraft spaces. Baan Kang Wat and LANDIN. So, after an afternoon of exploring these spaces, grab an early dinner at Adirak Pizza since they only open from 4pm onwards.

If you want to experience the worst service on Earth, this is the place. I’m someone who doesn’t usually leave bad reviews unless absolutely necessary. However, I feel compelled to share my experience at Adirak Pizza. Let me start with the positive: the food is genuinely delicious. The cauliflower bites were fantastic, and the pizza dough was so chewy and flavorful that it tasted great even after it had cooled down. That being said, the service issues here are severe. In Thailand, where service charges are uncommon, Adirak Pizza adds a 7% service charge. I wouldn’t have minded if the service matched the charge, but boy, was I wrong! First, the pizza we ordered was mistakenly served to the table next to us. While the other table inspected it, took photos, and had a good look at it, the staff remained unaware until later. Once they realized their mistake, they simply moved the same pizza to our table. We were dumbfounded and couldn’t believe what had just happened. Before we could even say anything, the staff dropped the pizza on our table without a word and left. The pizza was already cold, and the whole experience felt unsanitary and disrespectful. At the very least, they could have offered to make a fresh one. If they had done so, we might have just shrugged it off and eaten it anyway. But their complete lack of acknowledgment left us questioning the hygiene standards of this place. Second, the sauces and drinks we ordered to go with the pizza didn’t arrive until more than halfway through our meal. Despite going to the counter twice to remind them, we were met with annoyed expressions and a dismissive “just a moment.” It took forever for them to finally bring the sauces and cola to our table. As I’m writing this, we’re still waiting for the crème brûlée we ordered for dessert. We’ve finished our meal and watched the entire restaurant turn over with new customers while our dessert hasn’t arrived. It eventually did, but only after what felt like an eternity. To anyone planning to visit: if you want to leave in a good mood, just don’t come here. The pizza is insanely delicious, though. If you’re desperate to try it, I suggest ordering for takeaway—it still tastes great even when it’s cold. Finally, a word for Adirak Pizza’s management: please pay attention to the staff working at the counter and the female staff member working in the dining area on Sundays until 6 PM. It wasn’t just our table; several other tables were also waiting for food and utensils for at least 20 minutes. While waiting itself isn’t an issue—we understand when the restaurant is busy—it’s unacceptable that the food was not served together or that there was no proper communication with customers. The staff at the counter seemed completely unaware of the orders, and the servers ignored situations where explanations were necessary. I hope you address this issue and improve the training of these staff members.

Came to check this place out because the menu looks very interesting and the restaurant came highly recommended, BUT we were kind of disappointed as the base of both of our pizza were so doughy and super soft to the point of almost being soggy. We prefer our pizza with slightly crunchy edge. Otherwise, they have the most amount of options and interesting toppings to choose from. We enjoyed Pesto Ricotta pizza topping minus the base. The place was simply decorated and the ambience music was good - with old time jazz playing in the background. There are ample amount of seating inside and a few more tables outside. They have a few interesting appetizers and salads on the menu as well as good wine list. 🔻🔻Update🔻🔻 Decided to come back and try this place out one more time to see if the pizza base would be cooked slightly differently. We ordered Bad Boy pizza with Rocket salad. The pizza was burnt as much as in the photo shown while the base was very doughy and soggy like last time. Although the flavor of the pizza was good, the super soft to soggy base texture does change our experience with pizza. The salad dressing was also good but quantity is on smaller size considering the price charged.

New review: I was in love with this place for the longest time, but it has fallen off. QR code menu and ordering? OK, but really, no thanks. The pizza was always a little undercooked in the center, but it was still great. Now, even when asking via QR that they cook it a little longer, it was completely undercooked--raw onions, pale sausage, cold cheese. It was a sad meal. My old review: This pizza is definitely on par with Roberta's and Sanza Panza in Brooklyn, no lie. The caprese salad is a bit different, using cherry tomatoes instead of Roma, but still wonderful, especially with that homemade mozzarella. Service was prompt--I always chuckle when other folks have negative comments about Thai food service. This isn't America, you're not tipping 20 percent, and I don't quite know what you expect. I expect my food in a timely fashion, which happened. I even got a couple of smiles. What's more to want? My one complaint is 20 baht for the teeny tiny Coca-Cola--it might have been 8oz. I understand it's a restaurant, but when I order a coke with a pizza, it ought to be 12oz. I get a 12oz coke at my khao mun gai place for 10 baht which is super cheap, but c'mon that little coke bottle is ridiculous.

Terrible queue management. Got cut in line twice and the staff did nothing to fix it. Yesterday I took my friends here for dinner. The place was packed and there were a few people waiting in front of the restaurant. When I went in to write my number in the queue book, there was only one number before me. So we decided to wait in front of the restaurant. Not long after, we saw that there were a few tables available, but no staff came to call us in and newcomers just cut in line. When I went in to ask, the answer I got was that the queue was mixed up because the staff didn’t communicate to each other and misunderstood. Errors happen, which we understand. However, besides apologizing, we didn’t get any solutions. We still had to wait and watch someone else sit in our table. The second time I asked about the queue, they still told me to wait even though there were 2 tables available. I don’t know what their queue management was or maybe there wasn’t any at all, but if I didn‘t keep asking, my friends and I would’ve had to wait forever. This was not my first time here but it was my friend’s (though I wasn’t surprised). What an unforgettable first time experience.

Food was good and toppings were very generous but the restaurant needs to work on its ground staff training and operations. I came in at 3pm on a Wednesday - where there were only 4 other parties seated. It was relatively empty. I had to hover around the counter to get a seat, and how the system works is that. The pizza was good but honestly nothing to write home about. I was about to try amataros sourdough pizza actually but they aren’t open at the odd timing I came in so I came here instead. The Adirak staff absolutely had no idea how to receive guests, and how to seat them. A young waitress started to but didn’t provide us with carafes of water. Look at my empty glass LOL. When I was seated there were 3 more parties that came in and had the same experience. They hovered awkwardly at the counter and had to ask to be seated. The lady who took a seat next to me had to repeatedly ask for a QR code to place her order. I wonder if there’s a manager - and how the service would actually go during peak hours. Would i come back? Nope, there’s other things to eat in Chiang Mai.
