we went in with very high expectations due to the remarkable reviews but ended up feeling a little let down after all, we visited pretty late, around 5pm and there were only about 2-3 other customers. still, the service was subpar to say the least. upon entry our waitresses body language already unambiguously made it clear that she was NOT in the mood to make us feel welcome and was probably already mentally at home. fine, everyone’s in a bad mood at one point so who cares.. however, she couldn’t bother to write down our order, then had to double check every single item we just (!) told her (no problem with that but why not just write it down in the first place??). when we received our order we were missing one cake and had to order it AGAIN, meaning she didn’t get it the first time we ordered, even though we told her twice. all that combined with the sheer lack of enthusiasm to sell overpriced, below-average-sized pieces of cake to naive customers, made for a really unpleasant experience. adding onto that was the music that was just WAY too loud and almost unbearable. if you except some low-key background music you’ll be in for a surprise to say the least.. all in all it was just VERY underwhelming. tiny portion sizes that seem to be designed to incentivize buying even more pieces of cake (why??) pared with unmotivated service. wouldn’t recommend, since there are SO many amazing cafes around for a fraction of...

I used to really like this place, but during my last visit, the staff were not very accommodating. They weren’t the same employees I had seen before. It was the first time I saw staff standing with their backs against the counter, facing away from customers, completely blocking the counter.

When I approached to order a drink, they gave me a look as if asking, Where did you come from? Instead of just informing me politely that I should find a seat first. Their attitude was far from welcoming.

When they finally brought the menu, they said they would come back to take my order, but no one did. I ended up wasting a lot of time while they stood in a group chatting, backs still turned to the counter. I had to turn and make eye contact with a male staff member, but instead of responding, he just stared back at me with a stiff, unwelcoming look—completely oblivious to whether I needed help.
