If you’re craving authentic Korean street food, K-POP Tteokbokki is the place to go! Located conveniently near Chiang Mai University inside Malin Plaza, this cozy spot is a haven for Korean food lovers.
Their tteokbokki is perfectly chewy with a rich, spicy-sweet sauce that tastes just like it came straight from a Seoul food stall. I also tried their jajangmyeon, and it was absolutely delicious — not too salty, full of flavor, and served in generous portions. The staff are super friendly and always greet you with a smile, and the service is fast.

I have ordered the original tteokboki (79 baht), cheese tteokboki (115 baht), and beef tteokboki (100 baht). The original tteokboki comes with half a boiled egg, some ramen noodles, 5 big pieces of rice cake, and around 5 thin pieces of fish cake. The tteokboki sauce is great, and I love how you can customize the spicy level depending on your preferences. It is very salty though.
The cheese tteokboki would also come with unmelted mozerella cheese, while beef tteokboki comes with small pieces of beef. I don't recommend the beef menu because the beef wasn't very tender, making it not worth the more expensive price. I couldn’t find another Korean restaurant in Chiang Mai quite like K-POP Tteokbokki. Their tteokbokki pan is absolutely fantastic—rich, spicy, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The rice cakes are chewy and satisfying, and the sauce is just the right mix of sweet and spicy. It’s seriously delicious!
