ผาม PAAM (อาหารล้านนา ไส้อั่ว ลาบคั่ว แกงฮังเล Authentic Northern Thai Food) — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

Newly opened Northern-Thai fusion cuisine. The restaurant itself was beautifully designed by local national artist. Its large dining hall can house around 50 people. There were private zone and long table for family-oriented. The food here was pretty expensive but they were all well presented. We tried several menu today and found that original Northern-Thai dish didn’t really tasted like original. Seemed like they lacked some spices or decreased some ingridient to make them tasted more neutral? Some deep-fried menu were quite oily and they were not really crunchy. Dishes we liked were: stired fried cabbage, Hung-lae curry and pancake. Beverages were quite nice so maybe next time will go for coffee...

May have just been an off day for the cooks (again), but today’s food was below average.

The coffee was good, desserts look amazing/ taste ok, ambiance is comfortable and enjoyable, service is quick and attentive....but the food was a swing and a miss. This was my third time to this place and although I won’t say “it was my last”, the next time will probably just be for coffee or a drink. My suggestion- come for a meeting or a cup of coffee and then move on somewhere else for dinner...unless you like paying $$$ for “sausage” (hot dogs)...

Wow...beautiful restaurant with a tranquil garden under trees and an old Northern Thailand/Chiangrai style pavilion or barn ...now the food...great selection of northern style cuisine ..we had the northern style sausage krapao ...spicey and delicious...but the star dish fo us is the "Hang Lae" or Northern style Pork Curry ..the dish may originate from Myanmar ...either way it is delicious ...te chef came out to explain her style of the dish ...order it and anything else on the menu...attached to the property is a hotel or...
