Billion food Thai-Indian Halal Restaurant — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

We decided to try out this restaurant because of the high ratings and good reviews.

We wanted Thai food but were told the cook was not available today. However they can obtain the food from their other nearby branch, but there will be a 15 minute wait.

We were ok to wait around 15 minutes and proceeded to order our food and drinks.

Our drinks came 15 minutes later, despite asking them to serve the drinks first, and our food 30 minutes later.

The food wasn't that fantastic. I had better at those roadside / hawker eateries elsewhere.

The waitress who served was prompt and efficient though.

The restaurant was quiet and the service was quick. The food was okay...though I wouldn't say it was the best. However, we were clearly given the 'tourist menu' with tourist prices. We saw the normal menu with normal prices, but we were told this menu is apparently only for the special festival, which isn't on right now! The cost of the meal was the same as at Three Monkeys, which is a top restaurant in Phuket town with stunning views. What a fantastic find! Excellent halal food and service. The best Indian in Phuket without a doubt. The restaurant owner Wassim went out of way to accommodate our little group with lots of demanding children. Delicious naans and the aloo Paratha - one of the best we’ve had in our life. Fabulous butter chicken and Chicken Tikka masala for those who want things a bit spicier.
