Read moreI have SERIOUS issues with this restaurant. I have been coming to Bang Saray for nearly 15 years, and it became somewhat of a tradition to order soft shell crab at this restaurant at least once during my short stays. Now that I'm living here, I was looking forward to carrying on that tradition, so I ordered soft shell crab and they gave me scallops. Since, for the most part, no one speaks English there, I knew it would be futile to try to get them to take the scallops back. I like scallops and just resigned to trying to enjoy them. Now I have eaten scallops most of my life and I must say that I've eaten frozen commercial scallops from a supermarket that were 1,000% better than what I was served. They were literally inedible. They were like RUBBER. No matter how hard I tried, I could not chew one to the point that I could swallow it, so I spit it out and put it back on the serving dish. I asked for my bill, told them that in addition to serving me the wrong food, the scallops were impossible to chew. Most of this was done with sign language, including a thumbs down. I'm sure they understood, but made no adjustment to the bill, nor did they compensate "in kind". I was REALLY angry and swore I would never order food there again, and I haven't, but I do stop to order fresh coconut a few times a week. To add insult to injury, I ordered a coconut, and a kind young boy there turned on a fan for me since it was hot outside. But then his superior gave me a dirty look and turned it off as if to say, "for only spending 55 Bhat we're not wasting electricity on you". I mean, this was unbelievable, but par for what I perceived to be an uneducated fool. Don't support them. There are better choices right...
Read moreWe paid 1600thb for 2 people. 1 crab carry, 1 squid, 1 rice, 1 beer, 1 water. We live here and this kind of dinner is supposed to be about 800 to 1000thb. So it's rather they like to charge farangs or they are expensive for everybody hahaha 😆 . The view is nice, but when it's low tide, we will see plastic and bottles in the sea. The restaurant in itself is simple Thai style, but we like this style. The food was very good and if it wasn't so pricey and would certainly...
