Village Kitchen — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

I suppose if you like western food, it's acceptable and maybe even better than average. But I rarely eat anything other than Thai food. I usually will not eat at any place that advertises Western Food - I didn't see the western menu until we sat down. Here, I think Western food is their primary items on the menu. Tonight we had Pad Gaprao Pork 170 THB, Larb Pork120 THB, jasmine rice 20 THB, Coke Zero 35 THB, water 20 THB, masssaman Curry Chicken 150 THB, fried rice with seafood 140 THB. All was good, nothing to brag about and seemed the price was a lil high...

We have been eating here many times since opening around 3 years ago (and rated 5 stars), while this time was first in 4-5 months (due to Covid restrictions, travel etc). We got, from the today's menu, spring rolls and lasagna, and added our often chosen Yam woonsen talay. The (appetizer) spring rolls were OK (as expected), but the lasagna was close to uneatable, clearly thawed up frozen and with undeterminable sauce, etc (on today's menu!!). Sehr schön dort. War während meines Aufenthaltes (3 Tage) ausschließlich dort zum essen, nachdem es mir mein Vermieter (Asia´s Beach Apartements, direkt gegenüber) empfohlen hatte. Zweimal Thaifood, einmal Gordon Bleu, war echt lecker und der Cheffe ist ein echt netter, kümmert sich um seine Gäste, auch außerhalb des Lokals, wenn´s mal nötig ist oder man einen Tip braucht. Preislich gibt´s auch nix zu meckern, was wir Schwaben ja sonst gerne tun. Ich fand es günstig, vor allem, wenn man die Portionen betrachtet. Beim Thaifood war echt viel Fleisch drin, das habe ich während meiner fünf Wochen in Thailand häufig anders erlebt, wobei das für mich nicht das wichtigste war. Es muss lecker sein und das war es hier auch. Und nette Leute treffen sich da mit denen man auch fix ins Gespräch kommt. Also: ich kann es...
