Prices are some of the most expensive I ever found - even compared to top floors in Bangkok skyscrapers. But there are so many nice places to take pictures - if it doesn't rain!!! All the dishes are fancy and tasty. Cappuccino was one of the most balanced I ever tasted in Thailand. Why four stars then? Well, I am prepared to pay 5 stars prices if I receive 5 star service, and I want to underline two details: one, as usual, I asked for a glass of water with the cappuccino (140THB) and they immediately told me I had to pay for it separately (when I mentioned I would have wrote that in my review, they immediately gave me one no money asked), and two, the tissues were really cheap. The cheapest you can find at Makro, the ones you find for example at the market when you eat for 30 baht. I would have expected, if not clothes ones (but yes I could have expected those), at least the heavy, big paper ones. And it's not a matter of recycling: there are the big, brown ones, also recycled. And if someone is wondering about my fixation with water with espresso or cappuccino, well, if you love to taste the fine details of your coffee, you are supposed to clean your mouth first, to have a neutral taste, to then be able to fully appreciate the real coffee taste. And one final note; while I do understand the logistical problem of a lot of customers needing to pay, forcing everyone to fully pay in advance and make their choices NOT at the table but while waiting in line, it doesn't give you a good feeling, both because it's a stressful experience, and because.. well, let's be honest: if someone asks me to pay in advance, to me it feels like they are afraid I will leave without paying. Plus, what happens if I want to order more?! I guess they handle it. Why not handle the WHOLE process like 99.999% of the other restaurants then? With all due respect, even if they are busy, there are way busier places that do not ask you to...
Read moreIt's ok with the view to take photos and the atmosphere in this place was cosy and chill.
However, there're a few to complaint.
Food and drink quality, I ordered Spaghetti carbonara the first impression was OK but horrible thing start when I eat. I found that wasn't right about the carbonara, it was a Spaghetti scramble eggs carbonara which shown that staffs in the kitchen very poor training or don't understand the food at all. Secondly, ordered a fish and chips, this should be an easiest dish but not really. Basa was used for deep-fried, on the top of a chips bowl was a new fries but underneath was disgusting with dried and chewey (it's like they double deep-fried fries.). The drinks are fancy but a Thai tea you better go with Amazon.
This place will rip you off, comparing with what you get. One thing you should know before sittng down, you have to order at least one menu per person.
Staffs not really friendly, if you do not show a receipt to them because they will ask you to go back at the entrance to get a receipt. It was like you are NOT allow to get into their permiss and taking pictures as well. In my case, i already paid and front staff ask me to have a seat first but inside a staff ask for my receipt before we walk in to taking pictures area and I told how can I have it because the Clark at the entrance told us will give my change and she was not really understand, and yes we have to go back and ask for the receipt and the front staff said we can go to have a seat first till the manager came and sort my problem out. This may be misunderstanding for staffs so please more careful with...
Read moreGreat atmosphere, view, and props for taking photos. However the staff need a huge attitude retraining and a lesson in service; they are incrEDIBLY rude, inattentive, rushed, and just completely ruined my vibe/mood when I got there. A staff member even kept staring at us on the way out to the point where we were like, “does she need something from us?” Maybe she was just zoned out, but incredibly inappropriate nonetheless.
Food was fine, 2 dishes = ~600B which is kind of expensive, even for us who came from Bangkok- the quality of the ingredients and the restaurant itself does not warrant this high of a price, ridiculous. Spaghetti carbonara had chunks of egg and was abit too oily, not good. The wagyu bowl was ordered by another friend and it was 700B! Utterly ridiculous for the thin piece of meat that I HIGHLY doubt is “wagyu”. Fish and chips was really thin and had a soggy/uncooked flour sludge layer in between the fish?
I doubt the restaurant will do anything to change as the majority of bad reviews here reflect the same sentiments and yet no changes have been made- people will still come here anyway, but most...
