Mongkok Sukiyaki M9 Square — Restaurant in Huai Khwang Subdistrict

Let’s just talk about how they do a service strategy here… I’ve had a buffet with Mongkok suki at mercury mall quite often and felt average-good every times. Understandable that most of their staff aren’t Thai, but when you had only 1 young Thai server ( kinda like manager ) which has to communicate all the things included cashiering might lead her to be tired sometimes, but I don’t really think you should show your tiredness from your expression like that. Since she started to took the soup order from us her tone of voice was like we annoyed her life. Also when she asked if we’d like to order a special promotion she asked us without any explanation or suggestion with a rushing tone of voice made us felt like prisoners.

The food always great that’s why I love Mongkoksuki but it was my second time that I felt terrible with their service 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t expect to get full service ( absolutely cause you’re buffet ) but at least you guys should be more...

We spent our family time here and found out one of the best shabu buffet restaurant.

Food : There're several items for customer to choose for shabu and additional menu. Foe shabu item you can service yourself by choosing item and quality is good for me, also have some seafood. They also have Oden, cake, chinese food, chinese fried station, several type of ice creams (Haangen-Daz, Magnum etc.). They also have special menu which change every monthly. The special menu when we visit are Fresh longan juice freppe, Hongkok waffle, Thai style Bingsu, Crembulay.

Service : All the staff take care us very well even we have kids. Very good service mind.

Atmosphere : They create a small private pot to each of costumer so we can pick up want we want with no need to boil together in sharing pot. Good decoration and very clean.

Price : Compare to the quality of food I would say it's reasonable and worth to pay for.

Good variety of ingredients, appetizers and desserts. Meat, seafood, vegetables, you name it. It is worth coming here just for the impressive dessert selection alone. Great price performance. Some issues worth mentioning, tardiness of refilling the hot food section and lack of utensils. Better to prepare metal tongs for handling the food from boiling soup in the pot. Tom yum soup lacked flavor and could use some creamy coconut milk (it was too spicy). Time limit is very short 1h30m. It is notable that staff and manager were polite, super helpful and able to rectify problems...
