TMK Suki Shabu — Restaurant in Kanchanaburi Province

This place is located with in the TMK shopping mall. It is easy to find. Plenty of parking spaces. You can sit inside or outside.

You can choose to do buffet or order sets. We chose a medium set and that fed three of us very well. We got a few side dishes- duck, noodle, and chicken wings.

The food is good for the price. The brothers are very good. There are three options: Tom yum, clear, and black broths. We got the black and clear ones, both are very good.

The noodle is good and taste the same as MK Suki’s noodle.

The duck is not as tasty or soft as MK Suki’s duck, but it is all right.

The amount of food is appropriate for the price. The bill came out as the price of two buffet, about 500 baht and all three of us were so full. So go with a medium set and a few side dishes if you have 3 people in your party.

All sauces are at the station. You can choose or make your own sauce. This is better than MK Suki.

This spot is an undiscovered gem! It is in the "Food Garden" building at the TMK Shopping Center, which is up the road just a little from Big C in Kanchanaburi.

The "Suki" is less expensive than at "MK," better quality, and offers a choice of three flavor "soups" in which to cook the veggies and meats. The single platter for 139 baht is enough to make three people comfortably full. (Price as of July, 2020)

The whole shopping center seems to be a tragic failure. It's new, but apparently unwanted! It suffers from a whole collection of very bad design decisions. (Imagine having an escalator, but you have to climb up 8 stairs to get to it??? At least it's not one anyone needs to use, since there's nothing at the top of that escalator, anyway!)

But don't let this stop you from trying out TMK Suki Shabu!...

มาถึง ให้ไปนั่งโซนขวา. บอกโซนซ้ายปิด. แต่ ทั้งที่มีลูกค้าเยอะ โซนขวาเกือบเต็มเหลือโต๊ะเดียว. ก็เลยถามว่าแล้วถ้ามีลูกค้ามาอีก 2 โต๊ะจะทำยังไงโซนซ้ายจะเปิดไหม พนักงานบอกว่าโซนนั้นปิดไม่เปิดแอร์ เราก็เลยบอกว่างั้นไม่เป็นไรไม่ต้องเปิดแอร์ก็ได้เพราะโซนขวามันแออัดเหลือแค่โต๊ะเดียว และมีเด็กมาด้วย พนักงาน เลยเปิดให้ แต่กลับถามเรามาว่าพี่จะนั่งนานไหม ก้ออึ้งไปพักนึง แต่ไม่ได้ตอบอะไรพนักงานไป เพราะไม่รู้ว่าจะนั่งนานไหมเหมือนกัน แต่อันนี้ไม่ติดใจอะไรในเมื่อเปิดให้แล้วก็แล้วกัน แต่สิ่งที่ไม่โอเครคือ. โปร 249 บาท พนักงานบอกจะไม่มีเนื้อทั้งสองชนิดให้ เพราะว่าเนื้อแข็ง สไลด์ไม่ได้ ทั้งๆที่ตอนไปเป็นเวลาบ่ายกว่า. ก้อเลยต้องใช้โปร 219 ซึ่งไม่มีปลาหมึก แต่เราต้องการกินปลาหมึก พนักงานบอกต้องใช้เป็นโปร 249. แต่จะไม่ได้เนื้ออีก 2 ชนิดนะเพราะแข็งสไลด์ไม่ได้. แบบนี้ คุณควรมีทางเลือกที่ดีกว่านี้ให้ลูกค้าไหม เพราะว่าลูกค้าจะซื้อโปร 249 เพราะต้องการกินปลาหมึก ต้องการได้ทุกอย่างแต่คุณบอกไม่มีเนื้อให้ ฉะนั้นจึงต้องลดลงมาใช้โปร 219 แต่ก็ไม่ได้กินปลาหมึก แต่เราเดินทางจากไทรโยค 60 กิโลเพื่อมากิน ร้านนี้ แต่กลับได้แบบนี้...
