Visited on a public holiday. It was raining so everyone has to be moved inside. All foods taste good. Atmosphere was good.
(Details after this is long and may related to busy-than-usual time, not regular service) One thing that needed to be mentioned is the service. Waiters seemed to response slowly to our requests. We tried to raise our hand but no one came to us at all. Some seem to see our hands but not come to us at all. We had to called atleast 5 of them until one of them come to take our order.
We ordered 3 glasses of ice and 2 bottle of water, which was for 3 people. We didnt know and they didnt inform us that they can provide only two glasses of free ice(still not understand why). Instead, they served us with just two glasses of iced water and leave one of us without even a glass of water.
We asked the waiters many times for another glass, but we still didnt get any. Until the food came (which took so long), they were too hot that we need water. So we decided to walk to take the glass of plain water without ice by ourselves
Also the billing took loooong time.
—————————— In my opinion Visiting on non-public holiday should provde better experience. (But today we visited a few other restaurants which did better with the...
Read moreJust had dinner today at Keereetara Riverside, a peaceful and beautifully located restaurant by the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi. It was a relaxing way to end the day, with delicious Thai food and a lovely view of the river.
We sat in the covered upstairs area, which gave us a great panoramic view of the river without being directly outdoors. The space felt open and airy, with a nice breeze coming in — just perfect for enjoying the scenery in comfort.
For food, we ordered several Thai classics. The grilled fish chili paste ((Nam Prik Pla Yang) was smoky, rich, and paired wonderfully with fresh vegetables. The Tom Yum Goong was spicy, sour, and aromatic — exactly how it should be. The pineapple fried rice, served inside a real pineapple, was both fragrant and comforting. And our favorite of the night was the deep-fried sea bass with sweet fish sauce, topped with a tangy green mango salad — crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying.
The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
🌿 Keereetara Riverside is a great spot if you’re looking for authentic Thai food, a calm atmosphere, and a beautiful river view — all...

Ideally located restaurant with an amazing view of the River Kwai, as well as the bridge 🌉 which is well lit in the evening. Large place with a peaceful atmosphere and some of the best customer service we have experienced in Thailand. Very attentive and polite staff with prompt service.
Unfortunately, none of the dishes we had stood out. There was nothing wrong with the food, but nothing special either. Very average Thai food at a premium price.
The pork jowl was more fat than meat. The butterfly pea ice cream was crystallized. The best of the dishes we had was the snakehead fish, the chili sauce tasted amazing.
Pineapple 🍍 smoothie was fresh and tasted great! The beer choices were fairly limited: Singha, Heineken, Budweiser & Hoegaarden with Chang out of stock.
Would probably return for the views and service, hoping the...
