I visited Ying Restaurant at Karon Beach for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and while the service was pleasant, the food left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who offered us a cold tissue, which was a nice touch, especially in the warm weather. However, the dining experience quickly took a turn when the food arrived.
The restaurant was not crowded, so we were able to enjoy a quiet meal. Unfortunately, the dishes lacked flavor and creativity. No matter what I ordered, sliced carrots seemed to be a constant ingredient in every dish. One dish, a beef entree, was particularly disappointing as it contained only a few slices of beef, with a hefty portion of carrots, leek, and onions. The combination didn’t complement the beef at all, and overall, the quality of the food was mediocre at best.

Read moreIf I could leave zero stars for service I would. I've been in south East Asia now for two months but this was by far the worst restaurant experience i had in this time. My food was delivered cold after we waited a really long time. Which is absolutely fine it happens and so I asked them if they could heat it up a bit. They brought the curry back without any sauce so I didn't eat it ... And when I addressed it in the end she got pretty rude and said I complained too much about the food and still asked that we paid the whole amount even though I didn't eat it. I can't recommend it to anyone ....

My appetizer came after my food came. They forgot our white rice. The menu does not match the menu description or photos. We ordered fried king prawn and the photos were bartered fried too a crisp and tossed in a basil chili sauce. We got a stir fry gravy sauce. If we knew that was the case, we would have gone with the regular prawn instead of paying $26.00 USD for 3 king prawns. The minced pork...
