If you’re in Lanta Old Town and craving something sweet and refreshing, Grandmama’s House is a must-visit. This charming little café feels like stepping into a cozy home, filled with warmth and comfort. I tried their Mango Crumble, and let me tell you—it’s delightful. The mango was perfectly ripe, naturally sweet, and juicy, while the crumble on top was golden, buttery, and crispy. The combination of warm, baked crumble and the fresh tropical mango just hits the spot. It’s simple, but done so well. To balance the sweetness, I ordered a glass of fresh orange juice, and it was excellent. You can tell it’s freshly squeezed—bright, tangy, and naturally sweet with no added sugar. It’s exactly what you want on a warm afternoon in Old Town. The café itself is charming and inviting. With its homey decor, wooden furnishings, and vintage touches, it feels like you’re visiting someone’s grandmother’s house (in the best way possible!). It’s quiet, cozy, and the perfect spot to unwind after exploring the town. The staff were friendly and welcoming, happy to chat or offer recommendations. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, soaking in the laid-back vibe of Lanta Old Town. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, a refreshing drink, or just a peaceful place to relax, Grandmama’s House is a wonderful choice. Their Mango Crumble and fresh orange juice are worth every bite and sip.

Grandma's House is a completely special and unique dining experience. We ate the mango crumble with coconut ice cream for afternoon tea the day before and didn't have time to photograph it, was too delicious!! Then we booked in to have the Mystery Menu and it was the best meal of anywhere in the world! For entrée we were served a beautifully presented and flavourful little mouthful of pomelo with keffir lime, lemongrass and small dollop of tamarind jam served on a local Thai edible green leaf. The main course was Chew Chee prawns (shrimp), a stir fry of 3 types of mushrooms with black pepper, corriander root and spring onion, & a dish of slow cooked chicken on the bone in a beautiful, delicate but hearty and restorative soy and fish sauce broth. For desert, home made coconut ice cream with crispy egg yoke topping. It was absolutely fantastic! The Mystery Meal can be changed to suit the dietary requirements of each person so everyone can enjoy. Don't leave Koh Lanta without trying! Need to give at least 24 hours notice for the Mystery Meal dining experience. Totally worth the wait!❤️❤️❤️😋

Best meal in Thailand. The amazing lady who runs the place approached us with her menu which she prepares a day in advance and cooks just for you. It’s 590pp and worth every penny. She asks for any allergies/preferences then surprises you with whatever she would cook her family. She changes the menu depending on the fresh produce that day, and the season. We were lucky enough to have things ranging from a fresh local fruit which was presented beautifully. We then had poached chicken, the most unbelievable mushrooms that were dancing off my tongue and massaging my mouth, spicy crab curry with noodles finished off with some unreal coconut ice cream with egg yolk, don’t ask how just go there and eat it honestly. We were sat shovelling it down our throats whilst her family were bloody lovely to us. She told us how she cooked each dish, was so grateful when we enjoyed the food. Honestly she should be charging 5x the price and living from her chefs table Netflix feature. If someone doesn’t put this place on a documentary then they’re all getting lazy. 10/10 unreal god bless that lady.
