Been here two times during our stay in Thailand.
First visit was flawless
! However: !
Second time dining here the service was the most atrocious I have ever experienced in my life so far.
We ordered 6 main dishes and a starter. After over an hour we received 3 main dishes together with the starter (a salad). The food wasn't hot either. During the whole time there was noone to be seen. We couldn't even ask what's wrong or order another drink. Finally, I could ask someone. He was going to look into in.
After around 1.5 hours and after I even got up to ask at the counter as well, we got the remaining dishes. Warm at best.
We told multiple waiters a few times that it wasn't okay. Most of the Thai waiters didn't even understand the complaint. A measly "We're sorry." from two waiters was the only reaction we got until we left.
It would be the absolute bare minimum to show backbone and apologize properly.
Mutiple other tables were experiencing the same issues. Same treatment.

HOWEVER, 1) happy drinks were really watered down, 2) there is no atmosphere - if you're going to run a bar/restaurant, at least play some background music to liven up the place and give some vibe, and most importantly, 3) don't keep a dog around that is known to be unfriendly especially with kids! This last point was the most disappointing - they have a dog lying in the middle of the bar, which you can't help but step around, and the 'manager' (a Farang/foreigner) told us off for getting too close, warning it can be aggressive and has a particular dislike of small humans. Dude, piece of advise - you run a hospitality joint, find another home for the dog! My recommendation, give this place a skip and go the Majestic bar a bit further down the...
Read moreOne of my favourite places on Lanta! Both the food and the ambience are so superior that returning to Thailand this year it was the first place I visited. The food is fantastic, the portions are enough and the people who work there are the loveliest. They will make you feel welcome and special but will leave you alone when you need it. As for the food, try the ribs or the pad thai, mango salad or "drunken" chicken, all is up to a high standard indeed. And just have a look at the drinks! They taste awesome too. I also love it that they have a choice of places to sit, you can have a romantic or birthday dinner with tablecloths or lie down on the cushions with a seaview, relax by the beach with your toes in the sand or drink with style at the bar, all is...
