Cool Vibes, Great Location – But Needs Some Improvements 🌅🍹

My wife and I visited Hippies Bar & Restaurant during our trip, and while it had a great atmosphere and beachfront location, there were definitely some ups and downs to our experience.

What We Loved 💙

✔ Chill, beachy atmosphere – The place has a super relaxed and laid-back vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. Sitting right by the beach with a cocktail in hand and enjoying the sunset was truly a highlight! 🌅 ✔ Live music & fire shows – The entertainment was fantastic, making the whole experience fun and memorable. The fire dancers were impressive, adding an exciting touch to the night. 🔥🎶 ✔ Good drinks & decent food – We enjoyed our cocktails, and the food was decent, though not the best we’ve had in Thailand. If you’re here for the vibes and drinks rather than gourmet food, you’ll probably have a great time. 🍹

What Needs Improvement 🚨

❌ The restrooms were a nightmare – Honestly, I’d give them 0 stars if I could. They were in terrible condition—dirty, poorly maintained, and just not up to standard for a place with so many visitors. For a beachfront restaurant with a lively crowd, they really need to upgrade this aspect. 🚽❌ ❌ Service was hit or miss – While the staff was generally friendly, it took quite a while to get our orders, and we had to remind them a couple of times. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it could definitely be improved.

Hippies Bar & Restaurant has a fantastic beachfront location, great vibes, and fun entertainment, but the poor restroom conditions and slow se rvice were major letdowns. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a drink with a view and soak in the beach bar experience, this is a good spot. Just don’t expect top-tier facilities!

Worst experience in Thailand. We ordered 4 meals, 2 sandwiches, 1 pad Thai and 1 tuna baguette. At first they just served the pad Thai, so my friend was eating while the rest of us was waiting. Then, they brought the 2 sandwiches. I don’t have words to describe those sandwiches. It was simply ridiculous. I was that mad that I went to the kitchen and showed the food to them. I went off while they were just laughing at me. I talked to the supervisor and explained him the situation. He gave me no solution at all. He just kept the sandwiches. My wife and I came here 3 night during our 4 night stay on Phi Phi.

I gave this place 4 stars because of the romantic environment and music. The food was average and the drinks were okay. The staff is super eager to be helpful and were very nice.

They have a fire show around 830pm or so. The fire show is very cool if you've never seen one and worth the watch. After the fire show they have live music which is our favorite part about this place. The style music and ambience was absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for. My wife was even asked to sing a song with the guy playing guitar.

If we ever return to Phi Phi we will be sure to visit again.

Side note... It's very likely that someone will offer you pot while you're here. It's the hippie...
