Absolutely loved this place! So much so that we went back the following day to try more options. All was delicious and very different from anything we tried. Fish and chips was better than any I ever had (I lived in England for 8 years and visited Gordon Ramsay’s fish and chips restaurant in Las Vegas so I tried a fair share). It wasn’t greasy at all and had such a good flavour. My boyfriend enjoyed his black bun burger very much and he also tried tuna dish and said that was really good too. And let’s not forget the best part which was the Lava cake, if you’re a chocolate love you have to try it! I still think about it 7 months later and wish I could get it here in Canada!
Service was the best we had in Thailand (we spend a month travelling all around the country). Efficient and friendly but in a genuine way and spoke really good English. They also had live music both nights we went with really talented singer, made the experience even better. One thing I have to say which just shows you how good this place is that you have to book in advance (walk over in the day to book the table for evening) because it gets packed. Yes, this place is pricey but it’s worth...

We came because of the great reviews and sadly, were quite disappointed. We shared the bruschetta to start, which comprised of 4 pieces of bread with different toppings. This was ok, but it just wasn't bruschetta. The bread wasn't cooked or crispy at all, it was simply fresh French stick slices with different toppings. The oil provided didn't look, smell or taste like olive oil.
Then we had two arrabiata pasta dishes, one chicken and one seafood. Again, they did not live up to our expectations. The tomato pasta sauce was creamy and very sweet, not spicy at all. The only spice heat in the sauce came from fresh chillis added on top. It just seemed like a basic sauce used in lots of different dishes rather than a proper, freshly prepared sauce on its own. The seafood pasta contained 3 prawns and two little pieces of fish, so we weren't blown away by the experience for the price. It was just ok.
Yes, I know, we're in Thailand and not Italy... but I've had some of the most delicious Italian meals in Thailand and this did not quite...
Read moreI can’t say enough wonderful things about ACQUA Restaurant! This space radiates warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality from the moment you walk in.
When we arrived and I casually mentioned it was my birthday, the staff smiled knowingly, as if they were already part of the celebration! After a delicious meal, they surprised me with the most decadent molten chocolate cake I’ve ever had — piled high with whipped cream, banana, colorful sprinkles and a sparkler (that I tried to blow out and almost singed my partner’s eyebrows lol). Then, to my delight, the entire team gathered to sing Happy Birthday to me with such happiness that it made my heart beam.
Every member of the crew radiated joy and care. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor - clearly made with pride. From the warm smiles to the lively atmosphere, you could feel how much they love what they do.
ACQUA isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply enjoying island life, this is the place to be.
Highly, highly...
