Phi Phi Don cafe and restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES!! Terrible experience at this restaurant. Some friends and I were coming here for dinner and the floorboards collapsed and one of us fell through the floor. Severely damaging their leg, now with prolonged damage for weeks and hindering travel plans.

This restaurant agreed to help us get medial treatment at the time of incident, then completely went back on their word and wouldn’t pay the small exam price once we were carted to the hospital. We ended up having to file a police report and the restaurant still ignored and wouldn’t help us.

Also, we want back to talk to them and give the report, the manager ran away and hid in a back room and refused to accept the report.

This place isn’t safe or well kept. It’s now been several weeks and they haven’t even reached out to apologize or anything. I can’t imagine how unkept their kitchen is and how dangerous this place is as a whole. My friend still has bruises all over his leg and damage to his entire left side from this collapse.

Came here for dinner with a beautiful view. I tried to order Pad Thai without peanuts because I have an allergy. The waiter returned 10 minutes later and said they couldn’t prepare it without peanuts so I ordered stir fried noodles in soy sauce. About 20 minutes later he returns again with a menu and says that I cannot have noodles because the soy sauce came from peanuts. I was beyond discouraged because I should have been informed seconds after ordering and the food should have arrived by then. I then ordered steam rice and vegetables. As my friends meal gets delivered the waiter returns yet again with a menu for me and says I can only have spaghetti and asks what I’ve been eating??? This was utterly ridiculous and I don’t advise anyone with an allergy visits this establishment which is extremely unfit to accommodate allergies. I have not had a problem at any other establishment in Thailand with my allergy and most places will prepare the dish carefully and omit peanuts...

The service of the staff is like no other on the island. Very attentive, accommodating and go the extra bit every time. We arrived and all seats were full closest to the waters edge, we didn’t mind so we sat just a row back, so soon as the a table opened up on the waters edge we were informed and moved (without out even asking) we felt very special and had a fantastic view. We had delicious food and couldn’t stop eating, portions are generous and presented very well.

I ordered a spicy meal (I enjoy spicy food and seem to handle it), when the food arrived I was informed that if it is too spicy they would happily change it and if I finish they would give me an ice cream, I declined and devoured the whole meal as it was that good.
