Kerala restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Samet

We arrived at the restaurant around 2 PM for lunch, finding it not so crowded. A senior waiter informed us that food preparation would take at least an hour, which we happily accepted as we placed an order for simple dishee of papaya salads and Spaghetti Bolognese.

The salads, served in very small portions, arrived after 70 minutes, followed by the spaghetti 15 minutes later—only after several reminders. Unfortunately, the wait was not worth it. The spaghetti, in particular, was disappointing. Instead of tomato sauce, they used a cheap sweet ketchup, making it unappetizing even for our usually unfussy child, who refused to take a second bite.

We came here for food, and the sunset. We ordered the green curry and Tom yum goong they were amazing. My boyfriend raved about the Tom yum for about 30 minutes after eating it. He said it was the best he had on a very long time, so compliments to the chef! Would definitely recommend.

My only suggestion: there was so much trash on the beach when we got there that had washed up. I saw some travelers picking it up and trying to help maintain the property. Would be nice for the resorts to take care of their property and the ocean (I mean all resorts here) or offer an incentive for people to pick up all of the waste if the staff won’t help to maintain the waste washing up. In American some companies offer a free ice cream or drink if you fill up a bag of recycling material washed up on the shore. Kids...

They forgot our order, I asked for papaya salad, regular one, not spicy. But I got papaya salad with crab. I said that I wanted to cancel, cause it came late, and we already finished all the other dishes. They said that it was a mistake, but my order is ready. Got the exact same salad, spicy like a hell, but somebody took all the crab away. Except for some legs, that you still can recognize. It is a good spot to see the sunset, but expensive, order only beer....
