Sadly I'm really disappointed with The Jungle Club. After seeing a lot of brilliant reviews I was really excited to be going for dinner whilst on holiday. For context, we were seated just after 9pm and the restaurant itself shuts at 11pm as mentioned on google. At around 9:15pm we were served starters and our first drink, one of the starters was the calamari which had good flavour but came out clumped together and chewy so was very likely from frozen. At 9:30pm we're told no more cocktails could be ordered, only beer and wine would be served as cocktails take longer to make which was disappointing. They also said the kitchen was closing around then so to order desserts to come later. At 9:40pm we're were served our main. The rice was cold and they were happy to get us a hot one when I pointed it out. The shame was that they brought out our mains while we're eating our starters because they were trying to rush us through the courses. While we were 5 mins eating our main, they brought out our dessert which we asked to wait for until we had finished our main and asked if they could keep it in the fridge in the meantime. The waiter bartered with us 10 mins and then he'll bring it out and we got it to 15 mins!! Something I didn't expect to do considering this is about 9:50pm and the restaurant closes at 11pm. The dessert was brought to us as soon as we put our forks down at around 10pm and the dessert had melted, so it had just been left on the side sadly in the heat. Just before this, the waiter offers to make me a cocktail and I mentioned I thought the cocktail making had closed already and he said nothing, really strange. Then at 10:30pm the staff cut the music and starting literally throwing bean bags and moving tables around us to close up. My boyfriend had only just ordered a beer 5 mins or so before hand and at 10:40pm one of the staff asked his to leave the restaurant and I asked don't you close at 11pm and he gave us a dirty look and walked off?

Really weird vibes, something felt very off. Most of the staff were leaving themselves before our cab pulled up.

The view is amazing, and worth going to see that but wouldn't recommend going for food and go earlier to avoid the bad...

This has to be the most disappointing aspect of my first holiday to Thailand. After a hectic week, we booked to stay at the Jungle Club for 1 night to relax and unwind in what was supposed to be a tranquil environment. The issues started with our arrival at Samui Airport, where we booked transport through the hotel. This arrived late and we were waiting in the heat after our flight for the driver to arrive. Had we wanted to wait, we would’ve just booked a Grab ourselves which I’m sure would’ve been cheaper. We wanted everything to be as easy as possible. Check in was smooth and our room was ready early so we got taken to the room which was beautiful. However, the advertised “oasis of serenity” was nowhere in site. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations (May - September 2025) and we experienced noises of a building site outside our room. We were not informed of the fact that building works were going to be ongoing and when asking the staff, we were just sent a message that “should have been received from booking.com”. The staff showed no care to our complaint, offering 15% off food or free transport to our next destination - who knows what the waiting time for that would’ve been! We informed them we were considering checking out and no attempt was made to save our stay by offering any alternative accommodation, or informing us they were fully booked if this was the case. Works would be all day and workmen were walking continuously walking past our room, staring in as they went, making us feel really uncomfortable. We didn’t even get to enjoy the private pool as it didn’t feel very private! We were so upset that we didn't get to explore the rest of the facilities or have a meal at the restaurant. We returned to collect some things that had been accidentally forgotten and the staff tried to charge us for items that they claimed we used from the Mini Bar - we opened 1 can of drink and left money for it in the room. The other 4 items that they claimed we used were not in the room when we arrived so they need to ensure things are fully stocked before attempting to charge customers. Whilst the aesthetic of the Jungle Club is stunning, the customer service is a...

Let's start with what was great. This is an incredible restaurant, the food was absolutely perfect and the views are so beautiful. We booked from 5pm until 7pm, which meant we got to see it in the sun and after the sun set.

The cocktails were great, too. The prices are a little higher than in other places, but I would say it reflects the quality of the service, the ingredients, and the quality of the venue.

The service was great; it was really busy, so you do need to wave the waiting staff rather than waiting for someone to come check on you.

Now the bad... which sadly, has more to do with other customers than it does the restaurant.

The views this place offers are unique and really special. This means that "influencers", "Gen Z" and wannabe instagram models will quite literally sit at your table to take photos of themselves whilst you are eating without even bothering to show the courtesy of asking, and this happened twice. We also had groups stand at our table having a 20-minute photoshoot and generally, just behaving in the most rude and disrespectful manner you could imagine.

The staff, to their credit, tried to deal with this the best they could by telling people to move on or go back to their tables, but this made little difference.

Two particular young ladies spent almost the whole duration of our meal standing over us, taking hundreds of photos of themselves and each other. This was not only intrusive on our meal, but also meant that despite having booked and gotten a table to benefit from the view, instead, we have to try and look around them to do it.

The most frustrating thing was that they were in one of the most idyllic and beautiful spots on the island, and didn't actually take a second to admire the view, unless it was to review the photo the other one had taken which just happened to have the backdrop this resturant provides.

I am not sure what more the staff could do, but unfortunately this experience was tainted by the attention culture that young people are obsessed by and they absolutely don't care that they're spoiling your time just to get what they think is the next best post for...

Short review: service and food suck but view is amazing. In depth review: I don’t understand how this place has great service reviews. Maybe we came on an off day. First I called EXACTLY two weeks earlier (as their email request) to make our reservations because I knew this was a popular spot. I told them we were on our honeymoon and would like lower deck which the person said it’s bean bag chairs and I said that’s fine, they told me about the time limit and the “we only hold your reservation table for 15mins”. I “think” they mentioned a minimum but I don’t remember what it was or if there was because I didn’t care, I was excited. We got there at 6pm to make sure we weren’t late. So we waited, which we expected, but then they tried to seat us at a table in the dining area. I told them I had requested the lower deck. Then they moved us to the bar. No one asked us if we wanted to order a drink after 10mins even though they gave us menus. We finally were sat on the upper deck but in the furthest corner next to the bar where server run up and down the stairs stomping lol We looked and there was a lower deck table available so I don’t know why we weren’t sat there. We had to flag someone down for EVERYTHING. To order drinks, appetizer, main course. We got our appetizer before our drinks…. No one checked on us about our food. Ever. My husbands red snapper meal looked like one of those calorie counting chicken meals. My tiger prawns had no flavor besides burnt. I found the one girl Sai who honestly was very kind and was not even our server and helped sit us and then helped with my complaint. The view is amazing but everything else is mediocre AT BEST. Sad because it could be amazing. Also if you’re sat on the upper deck prepare to have people constantly walking in front of you and blocking your view for their pictures not caring about your view. Sometimes they just hang around for the whole time. You really should have a lane for these type of people and charge a premium price for the bean bag chairs so they can enjoy your dinner with a view. Just a suggestion.

It was my first time and I must admit I did not make a reservation, taking into consideration that I might have to wait a bit for a table. My friend was already there when I arrived, and she informed me that we will have to wait for the table. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I decided to ask the girl welcoming guests, what are the rules of waiting. I politely asked her what can I expect and how things work here, as I could see that she was writing some guests’ names and I would like to find out how things work. She responded to me in a very rude manner that I should know that. I was like “excuse me I believe I should know many things in life but knowing how does the restaurant operate is not necessarily one of them”. My response made the girl even more angry. She did not try to solve the problem at all, was only making her personal statements that I should have checked it before coming here. To avoid this pointless and draining conversation with the girl, who clearly did not have any capability of grasping a point of view, which was different than hers, I just asked if our names were written on the waiting list, as my friend arrived here earlier than me. She got even more emotional saying “no”. I asked her to write them down. Jenn( as she introduced herself) was the worst person I’ve ever encountered working in hospitality. I found her communication style aggressive and insulting. I am not too sure if she had a bad day, or maybe was on her period but that’s definitely not like you should be treating your guests. All the staff inside the club were very nice and attentive though, and the view was spectacular.

Absolutely Horrible Experience - Stay Away! חברי היקרים שמבינים עברית - תתרחקו. יכולים לבוא לראות אבל שירות מזעזע נשבע לכם. מלכודת! If I could give Jungle Club in Koh Samui zero stars, I would. This was hands down the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a bar or restaurant. First off, the service was atrocious — the staff was rude, dismissive, and treated us like we were a nuisance rather than paying customers. They seemed completely uninterested in offering any kind of decent service. The drinks? Absolutely pathetic. Every drink we ordered was mediocre at best, and one of them was downright disgusting — completely undrinkable. When we politely asked the waiter to take it back or replace it, he flat out refused, stating that no matter what, we had to pay for it. Seriously? Paying for something that was literally impossible to drink? What kind of place runs like this? On top of the horrible service and bad drinks, the prices were absurd. They charge a fortune for subpar drinks and food, and when you pair that with the insulting service, it’s honestly a rip-off. Sure, the view is nice, but newsflash — you can enjoy the same view without paying this much and dealing with their horrendous attitude. In short, save your money and your time. There are plenty of better places in Koh Samui with great views, better service, and drinks that are actually drinkable. Jungle Club is a joke and I would never recommend it to anyone.
