They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At the restaurant in the Impiana Resort, it's the most disappointing one. We tried the breakfast buffet here, and it was a miserable experience from start to finish.
The food quality is shockingly poor. The "hot" items from the buffet, like the eggs and sausages, were consistently served lukewarm or cold. The eggs were watery and tasteless, and the bacon was a greasy, limp mess. The coffee is an undrinkable cup of bitter, brown water, and the "fresh" juices are clearly cheap, sugary concentrates. The fruit selection was tired and often looked like it had been sitting out for hours.
The service matches the sad food. The staff are disorganized and completely indifferent. Dirty plates are left piled up on tables, and it's impossible to get anyone's attention for a coffee refill. The whole atmosphere is just depressing. It's a terrible way to start a day on what should be a beautiful vacation. Don't bother with their breakfast; find a small, local cafe down the...
Read moreWe were prepared for mediocre food after seeing the hotel's general state, but we weren't prepared for the restaurant's dishonest practices. The slow service and bland, overpriced food were bad enough, but the real shock comes when you ask for the bill.
First, be aware that menu prices are a lie. They add a surprise 17-20% in tax and service fees at the end, which is not made clear upfront. But the worst part was that they secretly added two entire dishes to our bill that we never ordered. I was lucky I had mentally calculated the cost and caught their "mistake." This feels like a deliberate attempt to scam tourists who aren't paying close attention.
Combined with their absurd base prices (they charge 160 Baht for a single coffee), this restaurant isn't just lazy and incompetent, it's...
Read moreMy husband and I were staying at the Sarann up the beach, so we ate here a few times. Happy hour was 11-2 and 5-8, which. They would often extend 2-4! Offering two for one drinks and 15% off food.
Green curry and massaman were incredible. Highly recommend the massaman it was amazing. Spring rolls and satay also delicious. Fried rice good. Prices are around the same as surrounding hotels on the same beach.
We got some options from the all day menu that weren’t as good. Fried chicken wings and a prawn ‘salad’. I recommend sticking to the normal menu.
Service was always prompt and friendly, they entertained our two year old for hours and even gave her a free ice cream one day. Pool table, balls and a volleyball net available to use.
I can definitely recommend...
