Saaitara Restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Yao Yai

Can’t recommend this restaurant!!! We ordered a medium sized pizza but the pizza size was super small for an adult (the size of af female hand). Yesterday we ate the exactly same pizza, but in kids version. When we got the adult size pizza we could not tell there were any difference in size. We mentioned this to the waiter Erwin, and instead of finding a solution, he insisted the size of the pizza was correct, and our experience was neglected. He even mentioned they only make one size for both pizzas, but we paid more for nothing. While arguing back and forth the pizza got cold, and we couldn’t even eat it. So instead of solving the issue and just listen to us, we were left with a really bad experience!

We ended up sending the pizza back to the kitchen and Erwin decided to solve the situation by giving us a fruit plate for the main course and no new pizza...

Beautiful place with a great atmosphere, but the restaurant staff are completely lost and inexperienced. We ordered three meals and had to wait 90 minutes for our food, which was then served at different times. First, my friend’s dish arrived—cold. Then, after they finished eating, the second friend’s food came. Finally, when they were done, I got mine. No explanation or apology.

When we finished, they brought the check without any discount. We refused to pay the full price, and only after negotiating did we get a 400-baht discount on a 1,900-baht bill. The place is overpriced, the food was served cold and late without any warning, and the service was beyond disappointing. The worst thai food I had in Thailand and I had eaten in many cheap thai restaurants before. I barely touched my seafood noodle dish, as the seafood did not taste fresh at all and didn’t want to risk it getting sick. The waiter did not ask anything, if I had enjoyed my meal etc. when taking away my almost full plate after I was finished. You have to order via qr code and the site keeps crashing all the time, which is very frustrating. I would like to have actual service when enjoying a nice dinner on my vacation. This is supposed to be a restaurant of a 5 star hotel, yet one of the worst places I ate in Thailand during my 3 week trip.
