We visited Sueng Kopi to try dim sum in Krabi. As an Indian family, it was an interesting experience, but more of a one-time visit for us.
We ordered:
Rice noodle rolls with crispy shrimp Nice texture contrast, but overall flavour was quite mild.
Fried taro Crispy and good on its own. The yellow dipping sauce tasted medicinal and did not pair well.
Clay-pot rice with pork Decent portion, but lacked the traditional clay-pot aroma and depth we expected.
Truffle mushroom dim sum Subtle flavour, not very memorable.
Salted egg lava bun The best item. Warm, gooey, and flavourful. Worth trying.
They also brought us herbal tea without asking and later added it to the bill. It wasn’t expensive, but it should be optional, not automatic.
Service was polite but very hands-off. Limited English understanding, no water or plates unless requested, and we had to manage most things ourselves. We were the only table during our visit probably that's why the food was served immediately.
Extra notes
✅ Air-conditioned seating
✅ Free Wi-Fi
For Thai and Chinese palates this may feel more familiar. For Indian travellers, it’s good for a one-time dim-sum experience, but flavours are mild and service is self-serve style.
Rating: 3.8 out of 5 Worth trying once. The salted egg lava bun is the highlight.

Read moreI dont write a lot of bad reviews but i was so sad visiting this place. I was looking forward all day coming here because i love dim sum. I am a solo girl traveller. I came at 19:10 at the door and they came looking from the kitchen all staring at me like what are you doing here. One girl actually made a movement with her arms stating we are closed. They all started looking at their watches and realised they cant send me away just yet. So i sat down only to be laughed at by 2 staff members. I have been in thailand for over a month and never felt so unwelcome. I ran outside, and just left. I could even hear them laughing in the background. If you are searching for thai hospitality, dont come here. Cant judge about the food because i left… so...
Read moreEvery time we come for a vacation in Krabi and we have a fancy for dim sum, we have to drive to Krabi town. Now, no more. Here is the newly opened Chinese dumpling restaurant in the Ao Nang area. It is right across from Tesco Lotus Aonang. It is quite easy to get a car parking space. Dim sum prices range from 30 to 60 baht. There are many choices, both typical and fancy items. Their service was very good and helpful. Order the food via the QR code that they provide attached to the table number. Peking Duck Spring Rolls are a must-order. Those who enjoy taking photos must order Deep-fried shrimp wonton. Its shape is fancy. I consider it a photogenic food item. Surprisingly, it is not expensive and...
