I don't really understand all the good reviews.. we came here twice to check it out, just to make sure I give a thorough review.
First off, the place is super nice, the staff are smiling at first. Every time we arrived, we were alone, there was no one else at the place. You get a little card to select what you wish to eat, which helps greatly with the confusions later on. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast with orange juice.
First things first, the service is insanely slow. There are at least 5-6 people at all times, yet making breakfast takes 45 minutes (?). I thought that as the place sells breakfast all day long, the staff won't be surprised if we order two.
After 45 minutes, what we get is a cold omelette and two fried eggs, a really, really sad salad with 1/8 of an avocado on it (marketed as the avocado salad) and the poorest orange juice you could ever find on the island: a watered down juice full of sugar, not even closely resembling orange. We got some small baked beans which are just canned beans reheated and some bakery goods, which are a bit on the dry side.
My assumption is that the place is directly connected to the hotel next to it and uses the same kitchen, hence the low hotel quality foods and drinks.
About the service: I cannot believe how 5 people work here with such low efficiency. After asking the second time if we can swap the orange juice or apple juice to WATER the answer was no (?)
It takes literal ages for the service to see if we finished anything, and even if we had plates empty, they always ask: "Are you finished?" Like no ma'am, I'd like to still eat that empty plate lol.
What pushed me over the edge is that we didn't really get an option to change the juices for water. What in the world? Also: why are all the glasses dirty? I would assume if there are 5 people working, there might be at least one looking at a glass before pouring anything into it.
My verdict: never again, avoid at all costs and only come here if you need something to eat...
Read moreThe Restaurant itself is pretty Clean and Looks actually good, what makes the Review actually difficult. That's because the food itself was pretty disappointing, WE ordered two different breakfast plates, which are actually looking good on the First glance and larger (but also a Bit more expensive) then in Other Restaurants. What should I say... The egg, sausage, potatoes etc. Where cold, the tea forgotten and the staff was Not able to Determinante which Plate IS which without asking in the Kitchen. Ordered honey was replaced by Butter, I honestly have No Idea where the 2nd salad Plate came from and all in all WE Had to gamble more or less which of the cold food belongs to who of us (If any). From the Reviews that might be a single Case, Training new workers or similar, that's why I remain...
Read moreNice looking coffee shop, unfortunately however the staff and the food let it down. It was empty when I visited, 4 members of staff behind the till. Ordered coffee and pastries, and sat down. After 5 mins no one was making coffee yet so I went back up to ask for my coffee. The staff seemed to take umbridge to this and told me to sit down and wait. I obliged and after another 5 minutes my order arrived. The coffee was ok, the pastry very average for the price and the massaman chicken pie was so full of bone and gristle it was inedible. Very disappointing...
