Diamond Cliff restaurant & resort - The Best ocean view dinning — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

Very bad dining experience. They have so many waiters just standing around not knowing what to do. I ordered a beer and my girlfriend a watermelon juice. The beer came, but no juice. My girlfriend's first starter arrived very quickly, but they forgot about mine. After I reminded them about my starter and the juice, she had already finished hers, and then my main dish and starter arrived at the same time. Now it was my girlfriend's turn to watch me eat. Then the juice came, one hour after ordering it, and I had almost finished my main dish. They forgot about her main dish, and we reminded them while I was still eating. After I finished, I stepped out for a cigarette, then finished my drink, and we decided to leave, not wanting to wait another half an hour for her food. However, it finally arrived just as we were about to leave, and I was watching her eat again. I've never encountered such disorganized kitchen and service anywhere, and the restaurant wasn't even full. While it offers a nice sunset view, don't expect a pleasant dining experience. The food was okay, but not outstanding, and I feel extremely bloated. They also got the bill wrong. Additionally, they didn't have the blue crab I originally ordered, which was also a reason for choosing this restaurant. Overall, a disappointment!

Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The location is far from the center, requiring a 50-minute drive, and there's nothing to do except the swimming pool activity, beach is dirty and the waves are so strong because of wind which turned out to be a total scam.

Major Issues

Snorkeling place is so far 2 hours boats were subpar, old style boats the water was splashing inside the boar everybody was wet the water was going in the eyes which was burning and there were hardly any fish to see Food was not fresh, and many people, including myself, got food poisoning No other activities to enjoy

I strongly advise against booking this package. The experience was a waste of time and money. Consider other options that offer better value and quality.

If you want to buy water or other snacks from supermarket it's going to cost Canadian $50 for taxi coming So when you cross the ocean after getting down from the flight buy snacks on the way before...

Stayed 3 nights in their seaview rooms. This hotel is excellent. Super quiet, very kind staff, always a manager available to assist for anything needed. Very professional service. The rooms are super nice too, beds are very large, comfortable with great quality bedsheets. Shower has good pressure as well and sink and toilet working properly. The restaurant is always full of guests, recommend to reserve in advance for the best tables, food is delicious and service is very good as well. They even separated a smoking area from a non smoking area at the restaurant. I would recommend more Thai and seafood food dishes than European food. Delicious fresh fruit shakes. They even offer live seafood lobsters, crabs etc in water tanks. The view is next level too! Great hard working people, will definitely come back again...
